  well i sugget you take it as a lesson , a lesson showing you the perils of internet dating i also suggest you get on with it and put it behind you ..... move onwards and upwards . No real point in naming the person either and quite likely RHP wouldnt allow the name to be posted there are squillion of guys who pretend to be a couple and even pretend to be girls for some reason and that reason is beyond me , i think some guys beleive if they pretend to be a couple it will give them some sort of an advantage to be with a girl blah blah also 3 weeks to meet ??? if it take 3 week to meet even for a coffee then it generally isnt going to happen from my experience anyway i gather you never spoke on the phone to the female ............that should have set the alarm bells off i have had quite a few gay guys that pretend to be couples contact me and when i ask to speak with the female there is always ome excuse why she cant talk when that happens i simply say thanks and wave a friendly goodbye reg

  Sorry to hear that happened to you and your husband. There are some dodgy people in the internet dating world. One positive thing to come out of all of this is that from now on the wool won't be pulled over your eyes and you will both be much wiser to any situation.

  There are many reasons why people do that (Stuff around others from this site that is). Not to excuse the person you are talking about, but I have done something similar... Well, not similar... Sort of... Hmmm... I met and had a few drinks with a wonderful couple and then we organised a night out... I paid for a hotel room. All was set and then I was called into work. My phone was disconnected by my previous boss (whom I had just told to stick previous job up arse) cause the phone was a work phone. I couldn't contact the couple and I know I would have really upset them. Problem I'm facing since then is that I am too mortified to even call them. Why, probably something to do with my moral fibre. That and I am embarrassed to even try to talk to them cause what happened sounds so lame... Ok... Everyone can yell at me now :/
