100% Committed....while offline!

June 30 2014

I was having this conversation with a friend today and thought it would be interesting to read the opinions put forward by the diverse range of personalities in the forums. Why do both men and women stay active on dating sites, sex sites, chat apps, sexting apps etc even though they've entered into a monogamous relationship and express their intention to be faithful? Not all do this, but in a day and age where everyone has their smart phone with them constantly its becoming a massive issue in society and all too common. What's your opinion....is it wrong to sit on the lounge while your parter is in bed and log in for a bit of fun? Quickly download your chat app for a bit of sexting and pic swapping before you go curl up with them. Me personally....I don't think it's the right thing to do if it's a mutual commitment to be monogamous. I don't mean couples that have an open relationship...just people that say "I love you babe..your the only one for me" Then 10mins later are logging in or sending a selfie. Is it a quick boost to a low self esteem? Is it the thrill of cheating without actually having sex with someone else? With social media, chat apps and online dating so much a part of our society these days I fear that 'trust' in relationships has become all to flexible. Very keen to hear some opinions.... - Posted from rhpmobile

If only it were like the good ol days where when your away from your partner they put on some porn, got out their favourite vibrator and sorted themselves out before passing out in bed with a smile on their face ☺ Enter the modern social networking era and your partner is in bed while your away logged into 3 different dating sites.....chatting to an ex bf on Facebook.... while sexting and swapping pics and vids with some random guys on a chat app!! People may say what's the Difference??? Its just another form of porn isn't it??? Someone is sure to think or say this.... There's a big difference!!!!!! You don't have to lie, sneak and hide porn....or become emotionaly and sexualy involved with the actors! I know people still cheated in the 'good ol days' as well.....but i feel the the easy access to the tools available to temp and turn a good honest partner these days is just sad! The problem will only continue to get worse as we as people rely more on our tablet, laptops and smart phones to fill the spare moments in our days and nights. 😔😔😔 - Posted from rhpmobile

Yep the good Ol days have gone me thinks, being replaced with advanced technology. It's made relationships too easy to cheat, the temptation is right there! Yep how I see it as well, there is a difference as well. Once that trust is broken, it broken, sadly sometimes it can't be fixed. I think it about choices that include your partner - if you know it's wrong with out them there, don't do it. What ever happened to actually sitting down and writing letters to loved ones. sadly now exchanged with messenger, texts, mobile phones, technology etc. it's a lost form of communication. HAHA I still have a shoe box filled with love letters from my high school sweetheart and a diary. Who keeps hand written diary's these days? Foxy Oh RedWolf is gooooooooone?

Quoting 'SuperFoxxxy' I think it about choices that include your partner - if you know it's wrong with out them there, don't do it. What ever happened to actually sitting down and writing letters to loved ones. sadly now exchanged with messenger, texts, mobile phones, technology etc. it's a lost form of communication. HAHA I still have a shoe box filled with love letters from my high school sweetheart and a diary. Who keeps hand written diary's these days?Hi Foxxxy, It is a dying art form, but it's not dead yet thankfully !! Even after 19 years together, we still love handwriting letters and poems to each other (maybe that has something to do with why we're still together...). It's nice to sit back every now and then with a nice glass of wine/scotch and take a nostalgic trip down memory lane looking through our old letters to each other (it's a great way to start off a naughty evening too). Back on topic, I agree it's quite simple; if you know it's wrong with out them there, don't do it. Whilst technology has made it much easier for people to stray, it still takes a conscious effort on the part of the individual to do something behind their partners back. If you can't be honest about your wants and desires with the person you supposedly love more than anyone, maybe they're not the right person for you (or more importantly, maybe you're not the right person for them). Communication is paramount for any relationship, and trust takes a long time to build up, but only a second to destroy. Great topic justwannaplay78, we have really enjoyed reading people's responses. I just read your last post and thought, AWWWWWWWWWWW how sweet!! "It's nice to sit back every now and then with a nice glass of wine/scotch and take a nostalgic trip down memory lane looking through our old letters to each other (it's a great way to start off a naughty evening too)." LOLZ Makes me want to get out my shoebox now, with a bottle of Red, or two. I'm still friends to this day, with my high-school sweetheart. :) Yes I agree as well, communication is paramount. It is an interesting topic and great discussion, that's for sure.:) Foxy
