Please don't feel bad about cracking a joke. I don't think it blew out of proportion :) I felt bad about making snide remarks about someone, hence the retraction. Plus the fact that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... I'm not exactly a master of the short post myself. I don't think your posts are verbose at all... in my opinion they fit perfectly in Slickz' description above - engaging, logical etc. Don't change anything :)

Next to each other we're more like Xena and Gabrielle. lol, how disappointing M & G aren't dressup themed... I've still got my Saints & Sinners outfit, it'd probably work, then I just need a blonde wig I never saw the later episodes of Xena, just googled for pics, that's a pretty awesome dragon tatt Gabrielle got on her back.

i think i just lost my cool a bit in another post... as some extra, extra long posts just took over one thread and it was way too preachy and so OFF topic from the OP. I should have had my strong latte before i said anything... but just a long work week and long 16hour days. just short on fuse at the mo and can't stand some shit anymore... Valium anyone?

People really give Blacktown a bad rep.. & FYI there'sheaps#of shenanigans 5 u 2 get up 2 in dis wunderful city. In fact: it is a technically township - the largest township in Australia. Starting at 7AM u can pursue massive gains# at Definitions health club on level '4' den at 830AM u can catch the #729 bus to visit and observe sum pleasing trueblue wildlife at Dale's Featherlife Park. After feeding sum birds, selfies# with a sleeping Koala and listening to a dumbass talk about brown snakes just steal a Honda# Jazz at 1030AM and use it 2 rob a liquor store. Just wen u thought a day culdnt b better - u dodge the cops by doing a skid ("Sukkahs!") and pick up all ur soldiers# from Doonside Station Bcause they are loyal and travelled all da way in2 the Inner City 4 u - Nao u all go 2 WetNwild# because it is lyk "40 degrees omg" at 12 midday. After sneaking ur JD and Vodka onto 3 out of 40 fantastic rides u smash the rest of the bottle and spot "da one" - a 10/10 stunnah. U r a succesful and confident so u walk up nd say "hey", and tell her she has da "sickest tits" b4 getting her number (slick#move *fistbump*). Unfortunately, u see sum fuckwits who looks just lyk a mirror mirage of ur own crew and pretty much pick a fight with reincarnated versions of yourselves. They were 2 chicken 2 throw a 1st punch so u won the fight because that's how it works in the postcode2148#. The sun starts 2 hide behind sum Blue Mountains and ur desire 5 a kebab makes u realise dat u already missbae# aka Mrs Sicktits. U know she is da 1 so u call her up nd invite her 2 3rd Avenue Maccas for ur 1st date. She is wearing her dad's YMCMB track pants and u imagine her starring in ur crew's 2nd first album ft. Rick Ross and Kim Beazley. It's 0800PM nao nd u r a nu wave sikunt who lyks 2 take a girl out b4 a root so u take her and her friend 2 da 1 and only Blacktown DriveIn# movie's for a sweet $10 deal. After buying ur hot chips, friend-chick gives u a gobby behind a dumpster (dw, it was empty lol) nd u suddenly realise that u havn't had a kebab yet. U get a text from Razza askin "wot u doin tmrw?" and reply "ur mum". Tomorrow is Tuesday.

The story: "A group of schoolchildren from Essex have invented a condom that detects sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia and syphilis. The 'S.T.EYE' condom would change colour to warn the couple if a strain of bacteria is present." This was the response on the Hopes an Fears website two days ago: "The papers are falling over themselves on reporting on the “S.T.EYE”, a concept by a group of school children for a condom that changes color when a sexually transmitted infection, like chlamydia or syphilis, is detected. If that sounds too good to be true, it is, because if you don’t read it carefully, you won’t notice that the S.T.EYE DOESN’T EXIST. This is pure tabloid bait, combining some of tabloids' favorite things: SMART CHILDREN, SEX, and SHAMING PEOPLE. The concept is cute and the teenagers involved won some money. However, if you’ve ever gotten an STI screening in real life, and I don’t blame middle schoolers for their lack of experience, you’ll know that it takes a few days. There’s a good reason it takes even a well-staffed hospital a while. There are basically two techniques that are commonly used to test for STIs. One involves antibodies, and the other, amplifying the DNA captured. The articles mention that they want to use antibodies, which means we’re in the realm of something called ELISA, or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. An antibody is a special protein that bonds to antigens or a unique molecule on the outside of the bacteria or virus you’re targeting. But on its own, the antibody binding is invisible. How does it reveal a positive result? It antibody has a special molecule on the back of it. After you wash away any antibodies not attached, or else the test will show positive all the time, an enzyme that reacts to the special molecule is put on the sample, causing a visible color change. You could just pull out and stick your dick into a beaker to run the test, but that sounds irritating. Barring a type of hyperfuturistic nanotech machine attached on the end of the antibody that could do the color change, this method is impossible. As for molecules that can change color there is one known as, 1,1’-Azobis-1,2,3-triazole. Anyone versed in chemistry will be nervous now, because lots of nitrogens next to each other means highly explosive. The research was done by the State Key Laboratory of Explosion Science and Technology in Beijing. An explosive condom is not the best idea. The latter is known as PCR, or polymerase chain reaction, and is now common and relatively inexpensive. Using repeated heating and cooling and an enzyme, many copies of DNA can be made. However, this requires a machine, and the idea of hopping off someone, swabbing your condom, dropping it into an intensely expensive bedside clinical PCR machine, and waiting a few hours isn’t exactly a great idea either. Oh, and you’ll need to be a lab tech. THIS IDEA IS A PIPE-DREAM. The stigma behind having an STI can’t be reversed overnight, nor will magic condoms solve the spread of STIs. A better interim solution would be to subsidize mail-in testing. You should be able to order a discrete box shipping to your home, and inside would be a sterile swab with a lidocaine tip, because you’ll need to swab your urethra, or do a quick blood prick test, and mail that back to a certified lab. You can actually buy one right now from Amazon." Now, whether you agree with this or not, the big newspapers are clear the condoms haven't actually been made or tested, with The Daily Telegraph stating: "It is currently just a concept, but the pupils - Daanyaal Ali, 14, Muaz Nawaz, 13 and Chirag Shah, 14 – from at Isaac Newton Academy in Ilford, Essex won the TeenTech award for best health innovation." So I'm not getting excited just yet.

That reminds me of the college students that invented a nail polish that would change colour when coming in contact with date rape drugs, in 2014. All you had to do was dip your finger into your drink to make sure it wasn't spiked. Wasn't exactly a success when tested. From Snopes dot com (love Snopes!) "An interactive lesson at University at Buffalo found that the GHB test was only an acid test. Anything acidic: wines, fruit juices, would have caused it to turn positive. Compounding the issue, GHB also occurs naturally in wines."

Quoting 'Meander' An explosive condom is not the best idea.Bahahahahahahahahaha - best statement I've heard all morning. And yeah, Snopes is my friend, too. For a period, I'd receive an email from my dad about once a week warning me of this or that or the other deadly thing or conspiracy theory (for the record, he was emailing me because he's not on Facebook because of said conspiracy theories) and on a weekly basis, I'd have to respond with a link to Snopes. It took awhile, but he finally got the hint and started checking Snopes on his own before sending new stuff out. Consequently, now when I get crazy conspiracy theory emails from him I can't just send him to Snopes because what he's sending is so fringe that even Snopes doesn't cover it. :P

Quoting 'slickz' Nail polish that changes colour is really freaking cool. If only it worked. Remember the dolls and toy cars that would change colour when you held them under hot or cold water? Same thing. From the In The Mood website: "In the Mood nail polish will change color when heated to 91 degrees Fahrenheit. Your normal body temperature is 98.6 degrees but your fingertips are slightly cooler. An elevation in body temperature, for example: running your hands under warm/hot water, going outside in hot weather, or even mood changes, will cause the nail polish color to change. The colors will continue to change back and forth as your body temperature changes."

Today, the United States Supreme Court ruled to legalize same-sex marriage in the U.S. Frankly, I was beginning to think that we'd see it here in Australia before it was legalized in the U.S. For the first time in a long time, I'm proud of something the U.S. has done. Thrilled for so many of my friends back home.
