Taby xx I think it is a good thing that more younger men these days are uncut, as it means that more parents are letting their sons decide for themselves (once they are old enough) whether they want to have a part of their anatomy removed. Generally there is no medical or health related reason for circumcision to be performed so in my opinion it should be the man's decision, not something performed on a baby that has no say in the matter. As for me, I don't really care either way but I do have a slight preference for uncut when it comes to giving hand and blow jobs.

I have no preference at all, none! As for cleanliness, a manky dick is a manky dick regardless of whether its owners parent's decided get them chopped or not! My Eldest son when he was 18 decided to get cut, the main reason was, as he was sexually active , his partners were saying that they much preferred cut, and he simply liked the look and idea of a cut cock, even asked our other 6yo at the time, and he wanted to get cut because, I am , his brother was getting done, and he even at 6 liked the look better. So they both got cut at the same hospital, by the same surgeon , one after the other, no complications, both happy..... This question has been raised and dealt with numerous times across various places on the internet. Simple fact is that there is no right answer. Proponents from both sides will state their case and someone's feelings inevitably get hurt. Like many people on this thread have said, it's a personal preference and one that I believe should entirely be up to the person having the procedure. To permanently remove a natural, protective layer of skin from the genitals of a newborn child is downright ludicrous in this day and age. Would you agree to have your left ear lobe removed because it was the vogue thing to do? A better analogy perhaps would be to have your eyelids cut out. They protect a moist, sensitive area of the human body in much the same manner as a foreskin does the glans. Any takers on this? To the guy who firmly believes there is no difference in sensitivity, you're the deluded one mate. The foreskin has over 20,000 nerve endings which are severed once a circumcision occurs. Cut guys have nothing to base this on, they have no frame of reference. It's like blinding a child at birth and trying to describe to them what the world looks like. Sure you might give them a vague idea of what it looks like, but it sure as hell won't be the same as the real thing. In my opinion circumcision of male infants is a really a form of child abuse. Seriously can any really make a solid case for it or against it? Some people argue against circumcision saying that the foreskin does have a functional purpose – primarily to protect the glans, which is highly sensory tissue. In other cases some individual foreskins are said to be particularly long which in some water-less desert centuries ago properly created health issues and the practice still remains in certain parts of the world .Sadly most parents I've spoken too “order it” based on appearance and in most cases the father was! Parents can’t legally slap their kids but they can order a foreskin removal from a sexual organ …….I don’t get it? And there are other equally silly trends that come back an bite you years later.I really I wish we had had this done to my three boys because all of them now have constant cases of infection occurring no matter how often we tell them the clean things and the doctors we see are reluctantly(its not cool to go against the flow is it) in agreement - how do you tell this to a 3 year old FFS or 5 to manage their private parts - seriously. My daughter got a series of middle ear infections as a child, but we kept her ears and simply used prescribed treatment we reckoned her ears might be handy for her sunglasses in adulthood and now as a young woman she can make her own choices. ....Strangely enough Infection occur at all ages ....perhaps removing the appendix or tonsils would be a better option for elective childhood strategical procedures ...but these can be removed when problems occur so why cut healthily infant boy? Surgeons have been know to botch this elective procedure ....I guess that's sort of a form of Russian (cock) roulette? It is not cruel, nor child abuse to have a circumcision performed by surgeons and nor do I believe that most parents choose to have their babies circumcised as a fashion statement. We made a choice not to have our son circumcised and it turned out a mistake. The thing is there is a reason why the procedure is as common as it is and if you had experienced having a son waking in the night at the age when he begins to have erections, just a kid but screaming in pain then you may not say such things. Another point to make is that a young boy having a circumcision during the age of beginning with puberty, the wound does not heal so quickly when involuntary erections keep splitting open the healing skin. It was cruel to go through that with our son. If we ever have another son we will have the circumcision done when it is not so cruel and never take such a chance again. Mado Tara xx

In some religions baby boys are circumcised when they are a few days old. Some people believe that they feel very little pain at this age. If they stopped circumcising their sons I would imagine that it would lead to a lot of questions as to why they are different from their dads. I won't put an unprotected, uncut penis in my mouth. No way. Too many bad experiences with a lack of hygiene. So only cut, or an uncut with a condom will get head. That said- I believe it is the persons right to choose. My son isn't. If I had to for medical reasons then I would get it done under anaesthetic. Interesting topic and one that does not have a right answer. I'm an uncut guy in my mid thirties, a lot of guys I grew up with were cut. Early sex experiences were pretty funny. As an uncut gent (?), I have to 'magnanimously' concede that from looking at these posts and in general, cut does look like the preference by a bit of a margin. Respect to ye, cut brethren! But seriously, it's clear that both aesthetics and hygene are the reasons, and I can totally see the point in both respects. I think that aesthetically speaking, I'd possibly prefer to be cut (though it isn't an issue enough for me to actually ever do anything about this). I personally have never had a single comment from partners regarding the issue in my entire "life of sin" - which I'm surprised by after checking out this thread. Perhaps I'll start showing ever-increasing signs of a complex from now on :). I am circumcised, as it turns out my wife prefers cut also, I have no wish for the extra skin and I cannot imagine the head of my pens being any more sensitive.Both of our sons were circumcised as babies and already my 14 year old has thanked me as he and his mates in his rugby team think its cool. To the people seeking to spout "facts" one way or the other, there is no definitive study. There have been many studies but mostly by people seeking to prove a point in the first place. And I would rather rely on the New England journal of Medicine or the Lancet than Youtube as a source of credible research any day. The sensitivity debate wages on but sensitivity cannot be reliably measured because of the variables of pain thresholds and subjective perceptions (read psychiatric issues that are superimposed on the physical presentation). In reality it is pointless as a cut penis is sensitive enough to get the job done, unless the owner thinks that it is not, in which case the problem lies in the head and not the "head". The hygiene case is also largely pointless in Australia. Studies have shown circumcision is a useful prophylactic aid against STD's such as HIV, IN AFRICA, but no definitive studies have been done in the 1st World. In general the greater level of care of penii in the First World means that there is only a marginally greater risk, if any, from an uncut penis, and certainly not enough to warrant surgery. And if you are not going to properly wash your old fella, the absence of a few centimetres of skin won't really make a difference. Culturally, circumcision is actually making a comeback statistically but this seems to be more a retro/hipster fad amongst 20 something parents who want to be different from themselves. I got cut a few days after I was born for religious reasons. I have no problem in my parents making that decision just as I would not have had a problem if they decided to leave the skin on.
