Yes.... its True. Im a single male and am up that way at least once a year usually around Feb/March. The last two years I was "picked up" by a local couples (M/F) at that same place. Def worth a look. Ill be there again in March 2014....

Well at the very least now u know next time your round there check it out. I actually heard of this maybe a year ago it was mentioned on a forum just briefly.. And the friend of mine that works there replied with the text message "that's where the swingers go" when I said we were there for a drink I clicked that I had heard that before on a forum.. But then sure enough we found a few nice people to chat with and after a drink gently eased into questioning regarding flirting with others, then eventually playing and it was fun and exciting because it was all spur of the moment we didn't expect it.. Can say we will make more of an effort to have a night out on the coast more often.

You have peaked our interest !! Haha the smokers area? I would of thought 1 of the quite gaming areas of the casino would of been a perfect spot for naughty fun.. Only thing is cameras everywhere!! The guys in the control room would get some quality viewing

Got there really late @ 3am and place was really busy. It closed at 3 but everyone went into the bar near the tables and there were a lot of people however this time it was harder to pick. We did have some convos with some single guys that were there but didn't work out in the end. Good night though

Thanks will try that bar next time.. Actually popped in there for a quick drink I think in December as we were staying at the Sofitel for a week. Will make sure we give this place a try next time we are down that way.

Long time Gold Coast social event writer/photographer, Regina King in her Wednesday 'no names' column in the Gold Coast Bulletin has also raised this scenario. Late last year on two occasions, the column mentioned hotels on the Gold Coast where on Friday afternoons/evenings (post work) that 'wife swapping' (her words) were arranged. In keeping with the column's mystery, no specific hotel names were mentioned apart from one possibly being mentioned as a 'suburban hotel'. A second venue was mentioned within the following month. Would be interesting to read what guesses people post as to the answers. Quite possible the Stingray Bar at the QT Hotel, Surfers is another likely location. It seemed a very slow night at the casino. We were there for about 90 mins and saw a group of 4 people, 2 lots of couples, all vanilla and 1 single girl. BUT I have no doubt fri and sat nights it would be easy to meet like minded people. I am definatley going to buy the swingers symbol necklace thing off ebay as you don't really know who is playing and who isn't.

We just spent the weekend there for the AdultX trade show, maybe it was looking at the latest products but there was a lot of sexual tension in the air. The Vegas lounge was interesting and we had a few singles and couples approach us (CPL) for some fun, unfortunately being there for work playing was out of the question. We will be planning another trip soon without any work colleges.

We hear stories all the time, that the Atrium is a 'hotpsot' for swingers, and yet, we are actually yet to actually meet anyone who has picked up there ! (and we've asked HEAPS of couples - especially the multitude of interstaters who come to the club and stay in Broadbeach)

I think it might be much easier on a Fri and Sat night at Atrium bar. BUT make sure you have some thing that points out that your there to meet up. I also think the more people who know about it the better it will get to hook up???? Have fun !!

There's a reason staff refer to Atrium as the "meat market". lol Usually there quite frequently myself, not for Atrium but i'm a big Roulette fan(Math B teachers would be so proud). I highly recommend the Bite eatery prior to 2am if anyone is looking for a late night meal, theyre cheap and have a wide variety!

We were there last night, ( Friday) had no idea but definitely hit on by a couple, a single F and loads of flirting with a FF couple We chalked it up to too much booze until now...will definitely be going again but this time on the prowl! We have visited this bar, yes very much a swingers atmosphere, alot more women than men, which is unusual, around the cougar age bracket, very much a lucky dip, we didn't find what we were looking for unfortunately!

We were there last night. Single woman hit on wife big time (in front of me,) wanting to kiss her and proposing a threesome, which would have been great except that as for much as we tried, she just did nothing for either of us! Great personality but as ugly as a hat full of turkey's necks! Last night was more a "senior citizens who think they are teenagers" night along with too many drunks/drugged which led to an aggressive feel to the place (another RSA course for the bar staff????) too many gay and lesbian couples (for what we are looking for) crappy DJ who couldnt get a mix right for the life of him etc etc. Still got very turned on by the woman looking for a threesome, but apart from that, not a good night. Very very different to what happened a few weeks ago! So it appears its hit and miss and depends on the night, but then, thats they way it is in most places! We will return.....anybody looking at meeting up there, let us know. Cheers.

Seriously always a weird wild night there for us. Very hit or miss which like the previous poster said , is just like anywhere really. However I have NEVER been so aggressively hit on - grabbed- kissed- felt up bought drinks for etc by women anywhere else ! Some times you can go to a particular place and have an awesome night out, go back a few weeks later and it can be totally different. This can happen in any social situation. Perhaps going with no expectations other than having a good night out with your partner or friends is a better way of avoiding the disappointment if those expectations aren't met. As for your comments about the woman that you did meet, perhaps it would be better to remember that beauty is more than just skin deep. I don't know you and you could both be "beautiful people" but fortunately not everyone is a supermodel.

We were just there last weekend. We had one fairly hot girl trying to set up the Mrs with her male friend but he was just weird. We were there 6 mths ago and it was an awesome flirty crowd but this time was much older and more desperate looking. Ended up spending more time in the PA Pub with a great band. Still an awesome night but hit and miss like others have said if your looking to meet another cpl. All the same, we'll be back.

We visited there recently again, not to pick up, for other reasons. There are more classier type of people (couples), in the "J" bar within the Casino. If you are after a single male to meet up with, that bar is usually full of them. When we were at the "j" bar, my husband approached the bar to order drinks, was gone a split second & I was swooned in on as soon as he had his back turned, which we thought was a little sleazy! Some people may like that. We prefer to have a RHP profile to view & also messaging before any meet ups for security purposes. Just giving you heads up, we have come across some stalkers on the Gold Coast & it's not always the single males! The atrium bar, is always good for a laugh, however, has this putrid smell at the moment lol! Have fun with it!

We went there last Saturday. We recognized one RHP couple dancing with another couple. The other couple later came over and spoke to us. At first we didn't let on that we knew what was happening (naughty lol) just to see what the approach was. Eventually, they said they were there to fuck. We said "what swinging? We're swingers.) Turns out that we were both at the same party a few months ago but didn't get to meet each other. Many lolz and an exchange of numbers. :)
