Quoting 'trembling_hands' Last year I had 3 surgeries. I had very large tumours inside me the first 2 surgeries were to fix the damage they had done. The final surgery was to remove them and my uterus. It was hard going physically and for those of you who may have had a hysterectomy you probably can relate to the emotional side too. I was not able to have kids and never will. At first i was not going to tell people about my health issues I was just dealing with it on my own. But my Mum was telling people and so people found out anyway. In the end I actually put a public statement up on facebook because some people were worried I was dying from Cancer and I had to set the record straight. The tumours were not cancerous thankfully. And it was that fact which has kept me positive about the whole thing. Sure it sucks what i went through and I could dwell on that but I choose to embrace the positive that my condition is not life threatening. There were alot of unknowns for my surgeries ie how they would turn out but I was not dying so the rest could be dealt with. Surprisingly I had offers of help from people that I did not expect. Which made me realize that many people think more highly of me than I knew. And some friends who i thought would be the ones to offer help suddenly went very quiet. Then I thought about it and my interactions with them. They were the ones who were always venting, always negative about everything. The ones I had often listened to when they needed to pour out their negativity. They are takers. I am now minimizing my contact with these people as I don't want them tainting my energy. I am not talking about people with real issues. I am talking about the ones who really have nothing to complain about but negativity is a habit for them. Everyone including all the medical staff I have dealt with have commented about how positive I am. My surgeon declared I had a high pain threshold. But I was feeling it - I just chose to not let it pull me down. I have seen this surgery destroy some women mentally and I was determined to not let that happen to me. I am still recovering and healing - it is an ongoing process which will take months. But my body is already alot happier without tumours and an angry uterus inside me. I can now feel energy flowing that I have not felt for 5 or more years. That is my positive energy returning. But it is only returning because I am working on it. .........I have made the choice to bring positive energy into my life Feels good yeah, Allow us to introduce ourselves Mado Tara xx

Hisself regularly asks me why I bother to stay in the forums considering the amount of mental angst I go through at times... and this weekend I was able to tell him and give strong examples of the rewards here. The people I make bonds with, how much stronger I feel most of the time now despite the ups and downs which are normal. (and ok) I'm a ponderer from way back and a lover of synchronicity, I was just thinking about the Buddhist prayer I shared here... which I came upon just after posting the post before it, in a synchronistic way tied to your mention of it in those moments. Thank you for sharing that about the strings, I have seen the mountaintop flags, they're in the end of Reign of Fire (movie) too. That gives me a new perspective. The Buddhist prayer I shared here reminds me a lot of the quote I keep on my profile from Virginia Satir - "I am me, I am ok" is the heading. It takes a lot of pressure off the whole positivity gig because, positivity has a negative side when it's actually being used to dump down genuine feelings that could do with being acknowledged to resolve them, or to mask passive aggressive behaviour which I have been seeing a lot of over many years. I don't believe I mean the positive energy that people have mentioned above you either. I get that is my vision, but I feel the quote on my profile and the prayer I have shared here which only you have taken up, are similar.

I'm feeling a little uninspired today... That's not what I came to say though... This came in my email today and I had to share it. I'm a Rabbit ;-) The Chinese New Year rings in on February 16 this year, with more than one billion people expected to celebrate around the world. As another Chinese year begins, tradition dictates that the next animal from the Chinese zodiac steps up. In 2018, it's the Year of the Dog. .Unlike in western astrology, the Chinese zodiac isn't based on stars or constellations. Instead, it's rooted in an ancient Chinese story involving the twelve animals from the zodiac and a race held by the Jade Emperor; the ruler of Heaven and Earth..2018 - the Year of the Dog - is set to be a benevolent one, as dogs are considered lucky animals in China because of their faithful and friendly nature. This Year of the Dog promises more pro-social behaviour, fairness, justice, a focus on making everyone prosper and perhaps even a return to traditional values..Here’s how the Year of the Dog will affect your Chinese zodiac sign (and if you're not sure which animal you are, check on below)..RatThere will be ups and downs, but you Rat, will have the most success with money. 2018 promises a possible promotion or accolades, but with more stature comes more responsibility and paying back any favours given..OxThis year will be tougher than the last Ox, with most things feeling like one step forward and two steps back. The lesson here is to learn to be patient and to choose your battles wisely..TigerIt’s a smooth ride on cruise control for you this year. Business or career opportunities lead to more money. Besides using your own determination, it will be who you know that attracts windfalls.Rabbit.Rabbits have it best in 2018. Everything will be coming up roses: love, money, career, and health, so long as you’re not too ambitious and can focus on enjoying what you have in the present. .Dragon2018 will be something for Dragons to endure. There could be roadblocks in just about every facet of your life. Patience isn’t your strong suit, but you’ll be given an opportunity to cultivate it this year..SnakeIf you’re willing to put your mind to it, you can accomplish just about anything! But it won’t just simply happen; you may have to use your cunning to get others to go along with your plans..HorseYou will have to slow down in 2018 and think or consider changing directions in order to thrive. You’re likely to have better success at a new job or with new a relationship than with the one you have now..GoatThe Goat should be patient in 2018, as things might not materialise the way you have imagined. This is a good year to figure out what you really want, especially if you’re willing to work hard and work alone..MonkeyYou should channel your energy into ambition this year. This is a generally favourable year in all aspects of life, which is especially true when it comes to reaching for the brass ring at work, school, or in business..RoosterRelationships, both personal and professional, will blossom for you this year. Roosters may fall in love or be taking your relationship to the next level. You may also find a job or get promoted. It’s a year to thrive!.DogUsually, your own year isn’t lucky, and it’s no different for Dogs. You may see your good fortune dwindle as the year progresses. It’s best to be as agreeable and strategic as possible in order to mitigate any misfortunes..Pig2018 will bring stability in life, career, and health and better love prospects. Harmony with family, friends and lovers comes easily. Pigs may find that others clamour to be in their good graces. .Which animal are you?Rat: 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, 1960, 1948, 1936, 1924Ox: 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, 1961, 1949, 1937, 1925Tiger: 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950, 1938, 1926Rabbit: 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939, 1927Dragon: 2012, 2000, 1988, 1976, 1964, 1952, 1940, 1928Snake: 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, 1965, 1953, 1941, 1929Horse: 2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954, 1942, 1930Sheep: 2015, 2003, 1991, 1979, 1967, 1955, 1943, 1931Monkey: 2016, 2004, 1992, 1980, 1968, 1956, 1944, 1932Rooster: 2017, 2005, 1993, 1981, 1969, 1957, 1945, 1933Dog: 2018, 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1958, 1946, 1934Pig: 2019, 2007, 1995, 1983, 1971, 1959, 1947, 1935

I'm not sure how reliable this 'scope is though considering it has have sheep in the dates but in the listing it has goat. And here you go Anti, because I can see your year is shown as sheep but they have goat in the description. What the?... Sheep / Goat is the eighth in the 12-year cycle of Chinese zodiac. The Years of the Sheep include 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015, 2027, 2039, 2051... Sheep (goat, or ram) is among the animals that people like most. It is gentle and calm.

The Chinese zodiac in Chinese language, there is only ever one name for the zodiac Goat, which is 羊. However, people do get lost/confused in the translation of the zodiac terms when they try to translate the zodiac reading into English language, because English language is usually very particular with the use of terminology for different species, even though they are from the same family group. Hence, the confusion of is it Goat or Sheep or Ram 😄😄 Goat or Sheep or Ram, it’s all the same in Chinese zodiac and there is only ever one type of animal written in Chinese character, that is 羊. Therefore, please ignore the silly confusion of the translation 😊 So, Anti, you’re a Goat ☺️ - Posted from rhpmobile

The Rabbit equates with Cat thing is indeed the slightly difference between Chinese and Vietnamese zodiacs 😊 Some centuries ago, Vietnam was colonised by the Chinese. As a result, the now Vietnamese culture was adopted and formed from the Chinese culture. Therefore, the Chinese and Vietnamese nations share almost 100% the same culture today, including the zodiacs. However, post the Chinese colony, Vietnamese government made some changes to their culture, which included the zodiac and that’s why it’s Rabbit in Chinese zodiac and it’s cat in the Vietnamese’s 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

As I mentioned on a recent, now non existent post, I was given a different name when I was with my foster family. They used to tell me I was special because I had two middle names. Nobody ever bothered to tell me they'd given me my first and current surname without any legal process but it transferred to my school and welfare records. That slackness has my paperwork with several government departments as confused. I used to wait hours for appointments only to find the paperwork they were looking for was under the wrong name. When I found out at 15, I changed to my legal name and have used it with variations ever since. It puts a clear break between the me who'd been renamed and the me moving on with a new life. I used Debbie for a long time till I decided I'd outgrown that and moved to Deb as I am now. Names have meanings, I'll share mine here :-) Now that's a name to be proud of, and I am... Peachy The name Deborah is a Hebrew baby name. In Hebrew the meaning of the name Deborah is: Bee. Deborah was the Biblical prophetess who summoned Barak to battle against an army of invaders. After the battle she wrote a victory song which is part of the Book of Judges.

You are so right, it was a time of another major decision as well, a formative time. I still have a small page of a spiral notepad where a girl did a reading of my name the night I arrived, after my flea bath (standard procedure to treat for nits, just in case). If you have ever watched Prisoner, it was just like that. and Thank yooou. 💕 For accuracy, I've been exploring my memory and do remember I knew it was not my name before that, my foster bro used to love to tease me as kids do... But don't worry that went both ways. Funny that there was a girl there with a christian and surname only one letter different from mine. I met a guy in the area during that stay that I ran into a couple of times in later years at other memorable times, I'm glad I didn't make the mistake of getting involved with him and his family! I like your new pics... particularly the main one with the sun. It's a pity none of us got pics with the full moon event in January! There is another super moon coming up in March though. Peachy

Mind Body Spirit sparks my interest but not in the way the above posters have been inspired. I have looked into some of the more scientific approaches as I cannot believe in astrology or religion without understanding why. Astrology is fun but there is no basis for what the readings are and the differences in one or the other, it's basically filtering your brain to look for what the astrology said. Something called the RAC of the brain. You tell your brain what to look out for. So this is why we believe what we believe. Mind: In my spare time I love to ponder on my life. Most of the time I am laughing, it's like an automatic reaction and doesn't take me much. I love to watch interesting interviews by "motivational speakers" because I find them interesting, like a deep and meaningful conversation. Even stand-up comedy is a way to see some truths in life :D Body, yeah starting working out - yay routine is back! It was bloody hard. Spirit - If anything I believe in Buddhist teachings, just the reasons behind what those teachings represent, not like a list of things you should be doing like the 10 commandments. I don't really like yoga much, but am interested in Behavioural science. How I behave and how to listen to your gut and control your emotions and thoughts. I only found Wayne Dyer just before he passed. That seems to happen to me, so now when someone I like is in town I make sure I go, no matter what.

Long time no see. Nice to have you back. Wayne Dyer is so inspirational to me. He helped me get through 2016 with my mind intact and it sometimes felt like touch and go. But every time I hit the lowest point and I read him it would drag me back up again. He’s amazing. At the moment Im into EJ Love and her tantric stuff on sexuality. Trying to heal some sexual wounds. It’s very interesting. She’s based on Gold Coast. - Posted from rhpmobile

Wayne Dyer exuded so much kindness. I watched The Shift after he died. It made a lot of sense. He always exuded such kindness of a wise old man. Not like the pushy people we have today. Just an amazing temperament having been a recovered severe alcoholic addict. Might be able to take something away from EJ Love and Aaron Kleinerman a guy she interview on Facebook. I found it interesting that he chat to his feminine side and has a name for her as we all have feminine/masculine attributes. Thanks for sharing.

I always find it very cool and don’t believe it’s a coincidence that things come along at the right time and place. Last night opened my FB and listened to EJ do a big talk on boundaries and not allowing yourself to always go for sexual chemistry if there are red flags about the persons personality that you know are eventually going to mess you up emotionally. Like that she also focuses on both men and women and her non judgmental way of exploring healthy connections. - Posted from rhpmobile

I’m sorry. I honestly thought I had replied to your post a while ago. I have a moon diary (absolutely love it! Have been buying it fir a few years now). Each month it gives a God/Goddess or two to worship that month. The month I put my post up, Aphrodite was the Goddess being worshipped for that month (and Odin too). I’m not an expert on God’s and Goddesses and still have a lot to learn.

I appreciate that you did return. I love the idea of a moon diary... I've gained a lot more interest in the phases of the moon as it relates to how our world works in a literal way, as well as the history to how the months were named, thus the gods they relate to. It's been an interesting year cosmically, right up to our April Fool, Easter. Peachy
