There's also the Smelter, the 2nd QAL (biggerer than the first), the port facilities and all the coal stockpiles (doesn't matter where you live here coal dust finds it's way in!), the world's largest cyanide and 2nd largest ammonium nitrate plant (sssshhhhh), QCL, the powerhouse the stick making factory (which pumps out that much foul waste!!), the detritous from the Shale Oil Plant (once again coming to town 3 times it's initial size), QCL Cement and Lime AND last but certainly not least all the LNG's!! And coming soon a copper/nickel smelter and gas power station. Yup Gladstone has the healthiest air around and the largest number of asthmatics in the Southern Hemisphere. No I don't work for local regional development or tourism 😇 lol don't get me started on cancers, reduced sperm count in some local men and eczemas!! I forgot to mention Anythingrightnow wherever he may be I think he is a charming, intelligent and insightful you man. I will never forget his recount of his experience at the Bi-Orgy Meeks so kindly chaperoned him at. this reminds me that there are worse places to live than Townsville. And having spent a year in Gladstone, I can confirm that from experience . Although Tannum Sands / Boyne Island were rather nice.

Twice now I have tried to get this up and running, and just as I get near the end, the whole bloody page disappears. Maybe someone's trying to tell me something. I'll give it this last shot. To the northern triumvirate - the doyens of charisma - the ladies Indagine, Freya and Kaleidoscope. The epitomes of wisdom and language for us all, with the complementary dry humour. Your use of language is a joy to behold for those who love the written word, and an education for those who do not know how. Indagine - a lovely lady who I have gotten to know very well in such a short space of time. I'm sure that we will have much more to explore with one another as time comes along. "The well is full, and deep, and you are always welcome to come slake your thirst" Freya - A fountain of knowledge, and dry wit to enjoy. Always something worthwhile to behold in your writings and ramblings. Kaleidoscope - A lovely woman who is not afraid to tell it like it is, and also enjoys the funny side of life. Mesmerised - What can I say ? Charming, intelligent, witty, and a beautiful soul. Our Sydney counterpart to the above 3 ladies. Sun-kissed - I love your honesty and approach in the forums. Always happy to put your feelings forward on many subjects. Jay Jay - Again an honest lass with her soul on her sleeve, and doesn't mind a laugh at times. Paint Me - another clever and witty lady who loves to get on with everyone. Mado Tara - only beginning to get to know you, but you sound like a fun couple. Like your continual attempts at humour to lighten up the atmosphere. Araps - again only at the early stages, but likewise enjoy your attempts at humour in the various subjects. HP - A prolific little bugger, and not only in the forums. Everywhere I go, I see little metallic signs of your conquests on telegraph poles and fences, boldly emblazoned with the initials 'HP'. You must have a lot to answer for. Meeka - yes, you too Meeka. 'Ciao bella, come stai'. You have misinterpreted me from literally the get-go. You don't understand my humour, and you don't understand my warmth towards you with my Euro mannerisms, which I find a little strange seeing as you are too of a Euro background. But I still do like you. I find you somewhat innocent in your ways, despite being represented otherwise with your friend 'strappy', and you still do try to put forward your sense of humour at times. You are a likeable and lovely lady, and I hope that we will soon meet to dispel your impressions. OK peoples, as the rabbit said "that's all folks". For those who I haven't mentioned, it's only because it's still early days for me on the forum and I'm still getting to know and understand the many still on site. I love the atmosphere here and the 'family' environment that everyone feels sharing their stories and opinions. I trust that I 'll get to know many of you much better as the time passes on. Tall

For a bloke who has for at least as long as I have been part of these forums (at least eleventeen months, he he) been quoting "man the fuck up" You lead by example that's for sure.So this is how I have got to know you over time.You are a truckie and spend the most part of your time on the road, you spend a lot of time alone just doing your job, lucky for us you spend some of that time with us. I think most in here would see much the same to that.Though for you, these forums can carry some light to what I guess would be some lonely time on the road.Keeping that in mind, that is how I think while reading your posts, I often wonder " where is SL right now", which town, state, city, region, which ever. What sort of truck and is that truck your home. It only matters because that is how I see you.To the point. I get what you write and I respect you for that.Mado
