Several reasons but logistically for the organisers it's just easier for us to scope out venues, pick ups from Brisbane airport etc. Minx - Noted ✔️ Last year we had approximately 110 people attend and we've currently been looking at venues that can hold 120 - 150. Hopefully it's the case of more the merrier 🎉 Once the event is up and numbers reach capacity we will have a standby list again for those that can make it if we happen to get any last minute cancellations. There will also be an account to pay prior to the event, so we don't have to handle money on the night. We are going hard to endeavour to keep the cover charge down to a reasonable amount. At present we're looking at platters/canapés and a small bar tab to get us started then drinks will be pay as you go. As Eilie stated the event will be posted very shortly once we've had one last look at venues this weekend. Any questions feel free to ask or post a comment here. We are very much looking forward to meeting new friends and catching up with our old ones. ❤️ ya guts FF and Eilie

I'd suggest a bartab wouldn't be a great idea...the early arrivers would drink it dry before a lot of others would arrive! I'd say pay your own way, or if there's an option for drinks tickets that could work?

What I’ve seen work reasonably well in the past is vouchers or stamps handed out on entry that way early arrivers don’t drink the bar tab dry ;-) - Posted from rhpmobile

None of the M&G’s do a bartab - cash bar and people pay their own - bartabs are fraught with havoc - as you’re aware any cover goes towards food/entertainment. May be able to haggle in a complimentary “house cocktail” or beer during your negotiations. Sydney did a bartab one year that was kindly paid for by a “sponsor” (from memory about $250) but I still say guests pay for their own drinks. You know how much behind the scenes effort goes in and a bartab is NOT a headache you need to worry about. Just my 2 bob ~ Indy xx

Well it has come up but nothing set in concrete. Open to suggestions. Would people be interested in a theme and if so, what themes would people be interested in? Remembering the dress codes of the venues we are looking at is cocktail attire.

Can be fun... but they can also add to the price of a night out and make it prohibitive. Remember attendees may already be up for all, or some of: Accomodation Babysitters A new outfit - cocktail attire is a challenging dress code to meet. Not something we all have at the ready and it doesn't suit all female body types (me in a LBD 😢🤣😣🤣🤣🤣😣😢🤣😣) Dinner beforehand Taxi/uber Entry fee Drinks on the night Interstaters can add flights and parking/airport transport to that list. If you have a theme make it simple, such as a colour theme - red, black, silver. Honestly......my advice is to follow the KISS principle. People just want to meet other RHPrs in a safe and friendly environment, and to feel relaxed and included. The more complicated it gets, the more hassles you will have as organisers, and the less appealing it may be.

I see the other interstate organisers are offering food for thought too ❤️ as for theme.....I reckon MsJonesy hit it on the head - KISS - that’s not to say we should all go out on makeup, big hair, shoulder pads and a cows tongue BUT with all the effort you’re already going to on venue selection I reckon the decor of where you pick could select the style. I love a cocktail party - I also loved the black & silver theme option someone mentioned above 🤔 hmmm do I have something black and/or silver in my wardrobe - 😊 yes methinks me does!! At the end of the day Melbourne gets a crowd without any particular theme - Sydney too and the other Brissy ones haven’t always had a theme some of them were just location, food and lots of lovely people. Make it your own Girls and don’t fret because people WILL COME because they are terrific fun nsocial nights where everyone makes new friends while hanging out with some old ones 😁 Love yas for doing this ~ I soooooo need a party!!! ❤️ Indy xx

I'm Keen to attend as i hope to be in Byron around that time. Given that Brissy is only 2hrs away should be easy. However, when you are in a position to do so, could you give me an idea of where in Brisbane. If i stayed at Kangaroo Pt / Story Bridge..... Could i get the ferry in?

For last year's M & G in Bris a group of us hired a house at Kangaroo Point...it was only about a 10min Uber/Taxi ride to the Club where the M&G was held I'm pretty sure.We had a Friday night dinner beforehand at The Story Bridge hotel too...was close, and awesome place for dinner and dancing :)

Date has been set. Freaky_Fun and I hiked all around Bris Saturday afternoon/evening. We've narrowed it to 2 venues..leaning towards 1 more than the other to keep costs down. We're just waiting for the Event person to give Freaky a little more info. Event will go up this week, so keep an eye out. I will mention it here also. Also the usual Girls Only catch up before our M & G will possibly be the first weekend in July. This is for any and all women (single, coupled, bi, trans, etc) to have a casual catch up with like minded women so that anyone wanting to attend the M&G solo...will know a few familiar faces beforehand. - Posted from rhpmobile

It will be in Fortitude Valley. The cover charge will be per person. Accomodation will be up to individuals. The event will go up in the next few days. I'm not entirely sure why I'm writing this comment as it won't get read anyway.

Both venues have a capacity to hold 120 people and will be capped at that. A Trybooking account is in the process of being set up. Once people have paid and capacity reached a last minute standby list will be available for any last minute cancellations. Tickets will be available to those ONLY on RHP to begin with. If for some reason the capacity isn't reached tickets will become available for those who want to bring friends. Bigger venues are available that can hold more but will be about $80 person and I'm pretty sure none of us want to pay that much. As stated above the event will be put up shortly. I'm sure l can't please everyone, not that that's ever been a problem 😈

The event has been edited to add a BOOK TICKETS button. Hit that button and it will take you straight to the booking link. Once you have paid either Eiliethiya or I will contact you with the exact location of the event. Use profile names where possible for ease of reply. It appears you can't use profile names when booking. Once paid, you can either message Eiliethiya or myself and we will reply with the exact location details or for guests you can make comment below with "Paid" or you can send either of us the "Two questions, where and when?" flirt and we will contact you as soon as possible. With those couple of glitches out of the way the bookings are coming in fast. Woah. Think we need to hire a receptionist or give up my day job. Now there's an idea 🤔 We've had a few interstaters already booked. We can't wait to meet new friends and catch up with ones we've already met. Currently we have near even numbers of single guys/girls and couples with a varying age range which makes for an enjoyable night all round. We pride ourselves in making everyone feel welcome. Looking forward to a freaking great night!!! ❤️

You need to jump over to events section. All the details on how to book are there. Nearly 2/3 of the 120 tickets are sold already. Once all tickets are sold, RHP will put a FULLY BOOKED banner across the event. You will still be able to register your interest and details for the standby list. If there are cancellations you will be contacted asap. If you live close by and able to get to Fortitude Valley with last minute notice on the night also let us know and we will ring you if a last second cancellation comes in on the night. Love your work!Accommodation is booked........Its only about two blocks away, so that's easy to crawl back or catch a lift on someones shoulders.Seems like there's some nice eateries and bars in that neck of the woods.The Flying Cock (a hipster bar)......has grabbed my attention. I'll be sure to keep my mouth shut as i walk in.

We have people coming from W.A, Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Geelong, Coffs Harbour and everywhere in between. Only 30 tickets left so us Queenslanders can show the interstaters how to party!! 🍾🍻 We pride ourselves in welcoming everyone into our non-cliquey, friendly village regardless of age, gender, race or relationship status. So yes trans people and single men are very welcome. ❤️❤️

For all those statisticians out there that have been interested in knowing the numbers. We have 26 beautiful couples, 21 stunning women, 17 gorgeous men and a partridge in a pear tree of varying ages that have booked so far. So a great mix of people to meet and socialise with during the evening 🍾🍻🍷🍹
