Turned up at his place for his son's 18th party. Got out of the car & shook hands & had a hug. It meant the world to me. 39 years best mates, i'm the luckiest bloke alive with a mate like him.

A couple I know I saw over the weekend, as well as a bunch of others at the M & G :) Hugs alone are always wonderful and more meaningful to an individual than their short nature suggests, especially if it's been a while, thus the "free hug" sign craze that you used to see going around. - Posted from rhpmobile

I thought you might say your four legged best friend 😂 though kind of a family member I suppose lol Yeah hugs can mean a lot or a little, they can hurt or draw out emotion, or a place or warmth and comfort re friends like you said. My last hug was emotional, complicated

The last person I hugged was on Saturday after I competed in another Ms Figure Qld competition. I finished 2nd to her, she deserved win & I told her she deserved it. We stood & chatted for 5 minutes before going our seperate ways. Wow....amazing body, beautiful, great personality. - Posted from rhpmobile

I hugged my best friend (female). We have been mates for many years and we mean a lot to each other as we've been there through the good and bad times. Although she is now single, there is nothing sexual between us, except for some occasional flirting. We have spoken about sex between us but came to the conclusion that sex could stuff up a beautiful friendship. There's no secrets between us.

I hug somone every day. Usually my housemate when she comes home from a shit day at work and she just wants to feel that someone cares about her. Usually we share a number of hugs every day. Also when I go out to a number of activities I do on a regular basis I hug the people that I know well and they reciprocate. Also have a few school friends that live in the area and hug them when we run into one another (both male and female). What does it mean - usually just to say I care and understand, and nice to see you again. An endearing and enduring sign of friendship. Tall

The meet and greet and then my daughter.... All mean different things....the peeps from the m&g are a mix between “I feel comfortable with them....and a dash of “I wanna bend you over and take you a little right here!!” And well my daughter it’s abut dad stuff :) but I doubt I needed to explain that one.... - Posted from rhpmobile

Last hug was a my best mate, had some personal crap I was dealing with. I think I had tears in my eyes afterwards. Something so fleeting can leave lasting impacts. I went to visit an ex-neighbor turned BFF in her lovely house with a huge backyard garden, and we were so happy to see each other that we squealed and hugged each other. 😄 She saw me claw my way up from the pits and she was genuinely happy to see me make good and turn things around. 😃 She told me I looked great and sexy in my new exercise wear and the hug had sisterly pride in it. The hug was a "you've turned the corner, well done!" hug that I cherished. 😊 So sweet! 😊😊😊

I hope things turn around for you soon. I wrestled with terrible depression and watched my life fall apart the last few years. But as they say, once you hit rock bottom, you can only go up! Surround yourself with true buddies at this time, and seek professional guidance if required. There are lots of beautiful, helpful Aussies around but sometimes, you have to raise your hand up and let people know you need help. In the end, I choose to believe that none of us were placed in this life to suffer endlessly - we just have to adopt a fresh perspective and see the situation as a learning opportunity and sometimes, once we learn the lessons we were meant to learn, we break the cycle and God or the Universe, whichever you believe in, will then allow us to proceed to the next chapter. Hang in there, mate! Your breakthrough may just be around the corner! 😉

I hugged a guy at work. It was his birthday today and I didn’t realise until after I saw him - I was just too excited to see him and share my own exciting news! I messaged him afterwards and apologised, and he just laughed at me for feeling bad about it. I have good friends.

Thank you so much for your acknowledgement. Depression is nasty indeed. Unless you are surrounded by those who truly understand what and how it can effect your sense of self the world can easily become very grey and uninviting. I have only recently discovered most of my adult life has been affected in some way due undiagnosed PTSD. What a startling revelation that was. I must also recognise a very good RHP friend who I met in person only recently. We shared some amazing conversations over a drink. Hugs were exchanged. It's not every day you can talk to someone for hours over life's ups and downs when our initial connection was based on sex. Which by the way is off the table between us. As a society we still have this intrinsic belief that all can be conquered without help. In my case I wouldn't be here without it. RHP has been an experience, to test my boundaries, push through what' scares me and learn that judgment from others matters little. I firmly believe I have turned the corner. Cue all the ladies running off 😂😂😂 It does make me happy to know that you are on your way up. We most likely will never meet but your empathy is strong. Thanks again. I might go eat a banana. And no you frisky Bi boys, a real one. There'll be another 50 profile views 😂😂 BB - Posted from rhpmobile

I couldn't think of a specific non family person to post about... So, I hug myself when I sleep, it's reassuring... I caught up with a lot of in-laws recently after a long separation, we've shared lots of long hugs in the last month or so. It is simply sharing our love and relief at being back together I think. We've all gone through many things in the last few years... Peachy

Hugged one of my supervisors before he flew out on R&R. Big bear hug type of thing, where he lifted me off my feet. He's a fair bit older than me, and he's like a father figure to me. Puts up with my down days, laughs with me on my good days, keeps me grounded, backs me up but calls me on my shit too. Meant that I can get through the next six days, no matter what my crew throw at me.

A work colleague of mine who appreciated the gesture. We are good friends anyway but over the last 6-8 months she feels like she walked under a ladder or something lol. Her hubby has health issues, can't work and she is the main bread winner. A month ago she lost her dad to illness and had to bury him. On top of all that another work member has lodged a complaint against her that is a total fabrication but has to go through due course with the company to sort through it. The only upside being she isn't the only staff member in the vindictive other persons sights so that pain is shared. Its amazing the power of something as simple as a hug can be to let someone know you are supporting them and that they don't have to suffer through tough times on their own. Other than her, basically in my sad sad existance the only person i hug is my daughter who lives with me AND that my friends is what keeps my alive to come back each day and continue to be the best i can be for her and the friends i really care about. - Posted from rhpmobile

Wow thanks for all the comments re the topic, appreciate that, and sharing your hugs. Revisit the topic if you feel so inclined, when new hugs develop 😎 I am a hugger. I was selling at a car boot sale one morning and I got talking to one of my customers lol a man who I insttantly liked and trusted. We had a common interest. Then having already told me about his family wife/children etc he said he was being made redundant from his job, there was a moment of silence where empathy was shared without words, then asked if I could hug him because I could see the pain he was in. He has a wife and I think 4 daughters, all of whom were doing well, some still in school, some setting up careers, but he was proud and hurting and scared, I could see it in his face. The tears welled in his eyes and mine as we hugged. Not sexual, not at all, at that precise point in time, I didn't even have money for food and was really scared myself but for men supporting families, that's tough. We've remained friendly, chatted on and off, he's a smart, articulate man, and has since had time to adjust and reconfigure, look at his options, but needed to let some of his pain out. It was a timing thing. That hug was one I'll never forget Thanks again here for all your hugs 👍

Until I was on my own I didn't realise how important physical touch was to me. I miss hugs on tap. So no one is safe from me now. Hug slut. Today I hugged my boss 'cause I could. She is a beautiful human being and I feel so lucky to have her in my world. It was squishy and lovely. I know family isn't included but I hug my kids every day before they go to school and before bed and any random time they will let me. I'm glad they still love the hugs even though they are older.

A goodbye hug from a female friend who is going through a tough time and just wont admit they are struggling.....the hug had "please dont let go" written all over it, so although not the best hug it meant a lot to me as i felt good knowing this woman regards me as a good friend. I met a man in Montenegro and i reluctantly went on a date with him. It was the best sober date I have ever experienced. We stumbled through ruins overlooking the coast line, made love in a forest and again in another abandoned fortress. We had this amazing magnetic connection, although his English was not so good. And I left the following day to continue my travels. We kept in contact every constantly the next few days, with his saying he should have come with me. There was just such a strong pull towards him. 5 days later after he got a green card to drive across Bosnia, he met me in Croatia. We spent the next few days together in absolute bliss. When we had to leave each other, the beautiful sunny country of Croatia turned gloomy and the rains came. In broken English as he shed his own tears he described that it was the world crying for us. He was the last person I hugged, where that hug meant so much. He made me remember what it feels like to love wholeheartedly. I miss that man. And although we still speak daily I wish we stopped talking the day we left each other to preserve the memories. To unalter the feelings.... - Posted from rhpmobile
