Perhaps set me up in the 2nd bedroom. Wife no1 can stay in her master bedroom. When you come home from work we will have dinner and your slippers ready. Your choice where you spend the night. Mrs Urn abd i can entertain ourselves while you earn the bread to keep us in the style we are accustomed. Simples.

Quoting 'MidnightCruisin' ...microchip placement in the human brain, the new generation technology is already here. When you get a chance or taking a break from chasing all those Pokémon around your kitchen table, worth a bit of study. There is a potentially massive upside which could include medical solutions but the downside scares the hell out of me. Great bedtime reading! I've been engaged in study of a range of subjects over the years (both formal and self directed in pursuit of my own business activity). As it happens, just this weekend I too read numerous articles (and Wiki entries pertaining to, among other things) Neurolaw, Neuroethics, Freedom of Thought, Cognitive Liberty etc. This all is quite interesting stuff, but with some very scary and far reaching implications! We have a very strong cultural pressure and bias to look to the positive in things, and I would consider there may be some marvellous benefits deriving from such technology. However, I think it wise to consider and balance this hope and optimism with a healthy dose of skepticism. There are some very serious moral and ethical matters to be addressed.

Makes it even easier to skip the stuff you don't want to read! does the reverse also apply - so people who blocked you also don't appear in the forum comments? Quoting 'Luck_Dragon' Just the newsfeed, can still see the comments in the actual forum topic. Don't know if the reverse applies. I have mixed feelings about it. I know the frustration that happens when you read something some muppet has said, and you just REALLY have to restrain yourself from cutting loose with a rather biting rebuttal - and this means you'll not have to worry about it (unless the post gets quoted). But it also feels a little like a lot of folks running around like twats with the fingers in their ears. It also just feels like it blocks people ever having their viewpoint challenged, at least when you all have to see what someone else has posted there is a chance they engage with it. I like the idea that everyone gets seen/heard in a forum, and this blocking stuff makes it even more potentially confusing than posts appearing out of sequence because of lack of instant posting rights for all. On the other hand, should it mean less thread deletions? If you're blocked by someone who takes offense to your posts and reports them to mods unnecessarily, should this mean less of those?

What Summer said. You can still see their comments in the forum, it's only on your newsfeed that they don't show up. In regards to what you said about people never having their viewpoints challenged....the people whose comments I'm generally avoiding are those who have shown that even having their viewpoints challenged multiple times doesn't make any difference to their behaviour. So I'm rather sick of wasting my time reading when they dribble their shit, and then responding to them. I'm not only talking about one person here btw. I_touch - I couldn't give a rats arse how people feel about being blocked, whether they care or not. I block people for my own reasons, and now I have another good reason to do it.

A couple, advancing in years, went to a sex therapist's office. The Doctor asked, "What can I do for you?"Without any other discussion, the man simply said, "We want you to watch us have sexual intercourse?"The Doctor looked puzzled, but agreed. When the couple finished, the Doctor said, "There's nothing wrong with the way you have intercourse", and he charged them $32.This happened several weeks in a row. The couple would make an appointment, have intercourse with no problems, pay the Doctor, then leave. Finally the Doctor asked, "Just exactly what are you trying to find out?"The old man said, "We're not trying to find out anything. She's married and we can't go to her house - I'm married and we can't go to my house. The Holiday Inn charges $60. The Hilton charges $78. We do it here for $32, and I get $28 back from Medicare."

Quoting 'Summersolstice' Did you read it the other way around? All comments on the fora remain visible whether you blocked someone or not, so there will be no difference at all. The only thing affected (and potentially more empty) is your newsfeed. ahah, gotcha, I was reading 'feed' but thinking of the forum threads. (I'd said 'forum comments' in my original post, so thats why my mind was running along that track) I usually forget that newsfeed thing exists, having clicked straight through to the forums before I've even had time to notice it - it just seems like a big list of what post someone liked, and what not - it can be as full or as empty of likes by whoever, never pay any attention to that.
-

I find it useful. I follow the topics I'm interested in so the posts show up in my feed, I use it to decide whether it's worth clicking on that topic at the time to read more or not. It's even more useful for me now that clicking on someone's post in the feed takes you straight to that comment in the forum.

yep LD, I couldn't be bothered whether I am blocked or not. Not my problem and not my issue. I block for my reasons but mainly when I see that a person is aggressive, passive aggressive and just plain stalky, I block. My goal is to have a fun time on RHP and dealing with some unstable passive aggressive people do present a challenge not worth pursuing... I don't like dealing with these type of people. Quoting 'usrightnow' And the win moments ago in Switzerland, makes that three wins for Peter Sagan in this year's Tour de France. It was a great lunge approaching the line. As I used to say as a coach, never give up until the line. Unless you're in a pool, carry on through it. Surely unassailable in his quest for a fifth straight Green Points Classification Jersey. Inspiring. Mr. urn. . great job for Sagan... So many preventable mishaps on this tour due to uncontrolled crowd. e.g. overhead inflatable collapsing. apparently punctured by one of the crowd and it could have cost somebody their lives, at the speed they were going. Lucky block to survive the headon crash and be thrown over onto the road..... I used to cycle to work daily many years ago, from Elwood to the city (approximately 10km), weaving in and out of crazy traffic in St,. Kilda road and the city. Just avoiding pedestrians not following signs and paying attention to the lights. Worst culprits for the cyclists are car doors opening without the drivers looking if it safe to do so and cars changing lanes without signalling. Lots of close calls. Finally got thrown over my bike when my front tire got caught in the tram rail when I swerved avoiding a pedestrian who was crossing illegally on a red light and without looking at oncoming traffic in the middle of Swanston street, Melb CBD main thoroughfare. Got a concussion, gravel rash and twisted ankle. I was lucky I landed on my back, cushioned by my backpack stuffed with my suit and work folders. Was hobbling to work for 2 weeks. And have you seen the cycling tour race in China where there was a pileup? A man just walked in front of the cycling pack of 100 cyclists and got knocked over by the cyclists. big pileup of over a dozen cyclists (some injury i believe) but overall, nobody was seriously hurt. The unconscious pedestrian was not seriously injured but how could the organizers let that happen? Who would have thought cycling can be dangerous?

I wonder what it's like to feel that snarly every single day. I couldn't live like that, life is a joy. Let your friends own their own actions. They know what they're doing, and personal attacks, followed by responses being removed, flares emotion, they would know that and still go ahead and make the choice to put a negative slant on an otherwise friendly nice gesture, then remove all comments in reply, then whiinge and whine when they get the same in return? I fail to see what all the hoo hah is about. We are all adults and make our own choices, Spending your time going in to bat for your friends is a waste of energy, particularly when it's so biased and empty, what exactly are you batting for? Are you supporting bullying in the forum? frustration from not being able to be heard is where things escalate, get it ? Hypocrites you say, yes, absolutely, just some run under the radar I have zero sympathy

Yes agree that some cyclists are sure flaunting the rules. I live in a bayside suburb and beach road in Melbourne is a very popular n picturesque Rd to cycle. Two lanes each way on very busy road. Sundays see the cyclists take over, read swarm in packs, Beach Rd n lots of agro road rages fr both sides. Respect fr both sides is needed if we are to get to Our destination safely. After all we share they same roads. I find that drivers are less respectful and educated about the cyclists. Most cyclists I know drive but a lot of drivers don't cycle. Hence they do not understand the dangers cyclists go through. Education is key

-
RHP User

Quoting 'Luck_Dragon' Men who hated the female Ghostbusters reboot being all positive about the new Wonder Woman trailer. Wonder why that might be it looks like less of a failure than the trailer for the other did? ;) based on trailers, I'd see Wonder Woman over Ghostbusters - neither trailer grabbed me at all, the WW trailer really felt a lot like 300 with all the 'pause for slo mo of dramatic kick/slide/etc'; and the humour in the Ghostbusters trailer put me off. But a bad action movie (e.g. that Avengers civil war craptacular) usually feels less painful than a bad comedy. (I haven't seen Ghostbusters reboot, so I'm comparing trailer against trailer) I like Kristen Wiig, but Ghostbusters trailer was horrible and didn't show anything I found funny - a download movie at best (it might be great, but it didn't look it). WW isn't also a remake of a beloved movie. The Ghostbusters reboot got so mired down with idiots spouting crap, any reasonable criticism got lumped in with that.
-
RHP User
Sure, those are all valid points. I think both trailers look pretty bad, to be honest. The Ghostbusters reboot was copping a huge amount of flak before the trailer even came out though, a lot of it from men who said that women can't be as funny as men and this reboot was ROONING THEIR CHILDHOODS OMG . You're also more capable of critical thought than...some other men. Sure it's not the case for all but I think when it comes down to it a fair number of guys who slagged off the female Ghostbusters but like the look of Wonder Woman are thinking mainly with their cocks . I don't read a lot of pop culture stuff but even I've seen quite a few guys ranting about the female Ghostbusters having Chris Hemsworth in it basically as a piece of eye candy, and whinging about the lack of conventional attractiveness of some of its stars. Wonder Woman should make those icky feels go away for the poor things

Isn't it just a hotlist without notifications? I personally use it as exactly the name suggest, people I intend to message at some point or with profiles that have vague information but suit what I'm looking for to message later. Suggestions....Sorry to those who thought, from the heading, this would be about people not wearing underwear to get into clubs in the nineties 😁 I love assembling furniture from flatpacks! Love a little project, reminds me of playing with my Meccano sets when I was young, but with practical application in the end. With Ikea, the set-ups and configurations are very predictable and most times, do not need the instruction sheets to put it together. Makes me feel like McGuyver... i usually use my tools rather than ikea provided tools. my drill does a better job.

Flat pack furniture's predecessor was campaign furniture dating back to Julius Caesar but became popular with the British Army in the 18th to early 20th century. Some of it is quite beautiful. I rarely buy new furniture,I like old pieces, they have a history that I wonder about..Who made it.who used it .Q🐞

I don't think I've used the shortlist at all, I'll have to check. I use the hotlist often, my way of paying a compliment, or sometimes an easy does it flirt, just to see if I get noticed. Pretty stupid doing that really, because on the receiving end, I never look at my hotlist, hardly ever anyway, so if someone tried to get my interest by putting me on their hotlist, I wouldn't even know I was on there But the shortlist is think is probably a time thing, sorting facility if you like, throw them in there for future sorting lol

I dislike women ghostbusters as they have far too many clothes on.... Dress em up like a bikini car wash and derive a plot in parallel to either a cheesey porno or 50 shades, and I'll be there fapping away like my life depended on it :) - Posted from rhpmobile

All those that went n saw midnight screening of Suicide Squad ☝ Love the shorts Harley Q 😍 Don't want to give anything away (about the movie) so soundtrack comes out on the 5th, no Ballroom Blitz tho. An interesting music mix by the looks..Also,don't have to sit the whole way through the credits (but just a little bit) Enjoy 😊
