As most will be aware of by now, The Steam Room is no longer.I have asked the mods the reasoning behind the decision to close it, and Rebecca has replied to me.In the main, it has been that some have not kept to the general spirit of the piece, with 'personal attacks' and subsequent reporting of same, which has resulted in the mods being kept far more busier than they otherwise should for a single topic. Rebecca has also advised that no similar topics will not be approved in future due to the previous experiences with similar themed topics. I was intending to resurrect a similar topic under a new name, but after receiving the advise I have decided not to pursue it. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed posting on the topic and played in the spirit it was intended. There was a need that was successfully (?) filled by the topic, but unfortunately will no longer be available. Thanks again, Tall

Last night on 60 Minutes, journalist Elle Halliwell was reported with a rare and incurable cancer diagnosis, as well as being pregnant with her and hubby's first child. What a life challenge she is put to face! Elle's story is a strong example of life is too unpredictable! I don't remember ever asking for anything to be removed from your Steam thread. It is imo, the reason this thread has been so peaceful in comparison to past versions of it. I am sorry for my misreading of the intent for your thread as I posted there. I had come to realise a place to air our differences was needed but I can see how that last flush of posts, which are all still there, wasn't achieving anything useful. at least one of my posts was the cause... by proxy..I commented on a photo I had of seen of ET in a polo necked jumper and a blond wig looking soooo much like one your regular and prolific commentators, which got mistaken as a "Threat to expose" said commentator and therefore adding to the mod's workload - checking, removing, warning my goodself and then reading my "Umm.. what did I do" reply/request.. Let's hope we all behave here on this thread, and it doubles in it's size moving forward...-- in humour and tongue-in-cheek..

Thanks to both Peachy and Cavey for your commentary. I must point out that Rebecca did not of course point the bone in regards to anyone in particular in the thread. I believe from my interpretation is that it possibly been an ongoing issue with the topic, and hence why it was eventually closed. I don't know for sure the extent to which all this may have happened over the run of the topic - I don't log in frequently during the day, so I may on occasion have missed items that have been posted, and subsequently reported / removed before I have even seen them. From my own observation, though, as Peachy has noted, overall it has been a relatively 'peaceful' affair, with most taking it in the intended manner. It was an outlet for venting, and as such there will always be individual interpretations as to what that may have included. In that vein, Peachy, I don't believe that you misinterpreted the meaning of the thread. Cavey, similarly I can't see the harm in what you have noted either. You wanted to 'do the right thing' in what you believe was seen to outside of the rules of the site. I'm not familiar with your point, but it appears genuine in your concern. I know that at times, we get confused as to the mods decisions and rulings, and sometimes even if we get a reason in response, it is a bit hard to fathom. Perhaps a bit more communication would help. But again thanks to all who had participated in the success of the topic. Whether that be by direct contribution, 'liking' peoples postings, or even the lurkers who come in and quietly just reading. Instead of the usual silent vanishing of posts and threads, a message from the mods in the actual thread would've been much better. Similarly, this garbage of just deleting people's posts - if you're not paying attention to the thread, you don't even know your post was deleted so don't know your post wasn't deemed acceptable, sending a message "oi, your post X in thread Y is deleted for reason Z" isn't that tricky. We go to the effort of boosting their Google Page Rank on sexy topics, they could show some courtesy too. As for the actual choice of posts to moderate (and capitulation to requests for moderation when an argument doesn't go someones way)... well... I think saying what I thought about that would definitely get this post modded away.

Been two weeks of full on work since I.got back from overseas work posting two weeks ago. This week has been trying, two nights in a row of late night work finishes (3am) and early starts (8am) to make deadlines and prep for next work trip overseas next week. Living on strong soy lattes gulped by the cup full. made deadlines today and heading home early to catch up on sleep. catch up with fwb on Friday for drinks n some much needed pampering . Yay!!!

Today, at a popular local shopping mall carpark, a man in his 50s stood between two parked cars, faced outward, had his pants down and wanked away like there was nobody around! Postal services in the small rural town where I live are provided by a contractor (rather than by Australia Post directly). This office handles mail for the entire district, but does not deliver. Whilst mail is addressed to individual residences, it is necessary for people to attend the Post Office to check/ask for mail to be handed over in person. A few days ago, the Post Office was relocated to newly built premises (among a small group of shops). Today I was informed by one of two additional new staff members there that all residents now must apply for Post Boxes for their mail, and that staff will no longer hand over mail as before... I was told a box will be provided at the discounted price of $50.00pa. If I sign up now, they will charge me $30.00 between now and 31MAR17, then $50.00 to renew for a further 12 months. TV, Radio and Wireless Broadband signal strength here is patchy at the best of times, and so it can not always be relied upon. (Wireless Broadband is bloody expensive too. I won't hold my breath in anticipation of NBN out here on the farm for the time being). Standard postage recently went up by near 50% (to $1.00), and deliver schedules have significantly slowed. Now this! I think Australia Post should dispense with it's sales of f@cking Andre Rieu CDs and focus on their core business!

I got some new toys today. I splurged and bought my very first wand. Now, I know these things are significantly longer than your average toy, but I think the 1+ metre long box it was shipped in may have been a little overkill? I joined Netflix last week while I was overseas, because there was endless free Wifi available. Oodles of it everywhere, and it was so fast too. So I gorged on seasons of The Americans, Designated Survivor and anything that looked interesting.I get home yesterday...not feeling the best...and watch the first few eps of House of Cards and some doco about the lives of cats. Check my credit today, and I've blown a 100 bucks in credit already. What the far...Well. I've cancelled my subscription. Fuck that..

I'm an avid supporter of this charity - the thought that there are Australian women going without sanitary products disgusts me. No woman deserves to lose their dignity over a normal bodily function. And special things like a fragrance that make them feel special are always nice to throw in. Yes there are people without food, clothing, blankets etc and I support them also. But this struck a particular chord with me. Thanks for highlighting the importance of it here xx

Very enjoyable night ,especially our one on one tour with madison missina,,it was really cool and we actually learnt a lot from her ,very very knowledgable lady ,in our prizes pack , was meant to be a 50 dollar drinks voucher ,but they dont do them at jeffs shed ,so the awesome people at rhp office just threw in a 50 note ,,BONUS straight out and into crown we went, where we put it towards the nicest meal and drinks ,,back in we went to sexpo met up with a lovely couple ,watched the best amateur strip ,or train crash as we like to think of it as ,lol,god my guts hurt watching them ,then so some drunk boys getting crop whacked in the bar,and whoaaa baby, those welts will hurt in the morning ,there was one innocent looking middle aged lady ,who look mild and innocent was all but running up with a two handed shot on this guys ass ,i swear she wanted blood ,lmao ,,went on the shit rides cos we had free tickets ,awful and a waste of time , but cant go past some dodgen cars for fun ,lol, wanted to have our regular bit of action in behind the peep show curtains ,but the fuckers have brought the lines even closer than before ,the curtains are shorter off the ground ,,pffft can deal with that ,but when we stood back and watched the ,person in control of the lines kept opening up the curtains and checking on whats going on ,pfffft ,party spoiler ,,so our fun was downstairs in the carpark with our car ,saved a drunk guy from certain death staggering around doing his best to get run over ,took him upstairs ,called his mrs on his phone to find out he was 2 hours late for his return flight back to darwin ,lmao,she wasn't impressed ,,anyway couldn't work out what to do with the nice drunk ,but he was in severe danger of hurting himself further ,he already had scun hands and elbows ,so i gave him over to the cops ,felt bad ,but at least he was safe from himself and others ,bad area to wander into homeless ,and other not so lovely people ,mrs b tried out her new toy ,the womaniser on the way home ,wowee ,is all i can say ,that thing gets a job done ,again and again and again ,,lol,,as for the stands and stuff on show ,same same but different ,actually no it was just same same ,nothing particular tittalating or draw dropping ,just a good fun easy going night , life is good mr b

...I only got the diagnosis on Monday, the day I got home. Fuck, I felt rough in the days leading up to it. The cold air was like razors on my sore throat and i felt like I'd been hit by a truck. But, holidays aint to be wasted...and I had to get home. Hope I didnt infect anyone on the way back. I was lucky to get a whole row to myself for the last 10hrs.

...i feel half a million bucks compared to a week ago. Just a bit tired and a sniffle now...but still taking drugs for a few days. The pharmacist recommended Lysine supplements too, so been doing those as well. The itching is gone and the blisters are drying....I'm thinking a lot more about vaccines now. On the plus side, i have some more cool fridge magnets, and I ate and drank everything in sight. But it's good to be home too..

As annoying as coming across a blank profile with nothing at all to read or see, it is still not as ridiculous as the other site, where they have this feature calls "Premium - message for free", which allows the Guest members message the Paid members for free! On that website, there is nowhere for you to filter out, or stop, the unwanted flirts and messages if you are a paid member, unless you hide your profile! And as a woman on such site, you can imagine how overwhelming it is each time you log into your own account! Big thumbs down for such a stupid feature! 👎🏼👎🏼 so, to me, RHP is still worthwhile to come back to in comparison with the other site :) - Posted from rhpmobile

RHP has that very same feature included in the bundle for Platinum members, on The Other Site as far as I can tell (and looking at the membership tier page now) it is only part of the "Postage paid", but it seems like you have to explicitly purchase it to get it and that's how it used to be years ago too.

I didn't know that the platinum membership of RHP had the same feature (I wonder if those Platinum members are actually enjoying the overwhelming attention?) 😛 but the other site that I'm talking about, has only two simple membership options and the differences are in their price, not the level of features that come in a package like RHP's membership packages. Therefore, I did not need to explicitly purchase their membership to be bombarded with many unwanted messages from men who were outside my preferred age range and other preferences. I've had a couple of messages, text inquiring to my frame of mind at the moment. I'll share for the first time to anyone what may be attributing to my questionable mindset.Recently, like 2 weeks, I have been introduced to the interesting world of Facebook by my bestie.I had always said that Facebook would never get me but she got me there. And after being bombarded with all sorts of glitz and glamour and stories, I realised that it was post Trans Awareness Month. Not something that would many of you would be aware of or would normally follow unless you have a friend that is Trans.It has reawakened many things within me. My mind, my body and my wounds of my own journey of transition. I am not going to share that part. Some know my story, some know some. In 2 weeks I have friended nearly 300 people from around the world. My profile says that I will accept friend requests from only people I have met and anyone that identifies as crossdresser/transvetite, transexual and transgender. I do include their close support allies if obvious. Probably a few have slipped through or rejected but I try my best to select those that fit and reject all the other friend collectors and tranns hunters.I have chatted to some. I have been chosen to join closed rooms for transgenders and crossdressers and become party to the modern world of the trans. So much information, so much support. So much amazement in my mind.It makes me so happy that those that transition or just dabble with the inner women/man in this day and age have that available to use and assist them in their lives.But it makes me envious of what I have missed out on, of who I could be now, of where I could be. The what ifs.Selfish of me perhaps but I cant help wondering. And that makes me sad and down at times so sorry for that.It has somewhat inspired me to do something small.I have a photographic piece/composition/art that has taken 40-60 hours to blend from a journey to Japan several years ago and I will be releasing that as a meme dedicated to transition journey so perhaps the satisfaction of that may overide some of the sadness and depression that has gripped me of late.That's my ramble.Excuse my mannersAnd thanks to fab people of rhp that get me Annie xx

Perhaps Annie people and knowledge come into your life when you are ready to receive them. How fabulous that you have this support network now tho. And something that struck me as so true (maybe it's a bit lame to some) .... it's never too late to be the person you were always meant to be. Don't waste your energy on regrets but focus it on who you are becoming. It is a life long journey for all of us, some like to travel fast and others go slow. Meh! I have to say, my awareness of trans issues has come about partly because of what you've shared on RHP over the time I've known you on here, and partly because of my daughter. I won't share all of her story, because it's not really mine to tell, but I will say that she's an incredible soul, with a passion for social justice, and an acute interest in gender politics and identity, and the rights of people to identify how they choose, rather than how society pigeon holes them. When she "came out" as bi, she did so on Facebook, because she figured that none of her friends had needed to sit their parents down and have the "I'm straight" conversation, so damned if she was going to be forced into doing something like that just because she felt attraction differently. She frequently and actively speaks out for the rights of LGBTQI+ people, both those she knows and those she's not met, and I feel like I'm a better person because of her example. I'm glad that the people she has met, in real life and via social media, have her in their corner, and it makes me immeasurably sad that we are still living in a society where people have to experience trauma, sadness, shame and vilification for being who they are. Sweetgem - hugs Candy - not drivel. You make perfect and logical sense but l gave it my best shot once. I'm content with who l am. I'm also sad for some that l knew who didn't make it to even where I am. But your words were useful and reassuring. The Urns - beautiful words as always. Love your work. Yes moments missed and important to look back to see where we came from. Just as important as to where we are going. Jonesy - the whatifs will always be with us. We make decisions at the time that seem right that can haunt us forever. Thank-you for being a good friend. Patch - thanks for your post. All so true. I came out last year and it sorted many people out of my life. No regrets or whatifs with that one. Their loss and my gain from the people that did accept me and wanted me in their lives. It's a revolving door at times. People you need, love and want in your life suddenly exit........

Thank you for sharing us again. I always thought I was quite aware of the issues faced by trans and moreso the LGBTQI+ community. But I watched the series on Caitlyn Jenner (ducks and hides) and it was even more eye opening. Not her journey so much - she's got a massive support network behind her. But she spoke with a lot of trans people during the series and they revealed some of their horrific experiences and struggles. Including one women with the highest GPA in her college being knocked back for nursing study purely because she was trans, her life long dream. It astounded me that in this day and age that discrimination is still occurring. But worse was what some of them endured including brutal and violent attacks. The world is changing - not quickly enough as we would like it, but it's slowly getting there. Keep holding your head up high and be proud that you came out despite the prejudice and ignorance shown by so many still. I hope that one day everyone can be who they are regardless of what that is and be completely accepted by every member of society. But until that day comes, women like you are inspiring and giving others strength. Not just trans but in general opening people's eyes and changing their perception. I haven't had coffee so I hope this made sense - love ya guts xx

You have been through so much and are still standing strong - not only able to push through for yourself, but also supporting others. For the first time in six years, since my operation, I have only received an 80% clear of cancer developing risk! Fingers crossed that the remaining 20% is not too stubborn and would be cleared by the time the decade hits! But it is already a blessing for now and best gift I can ever have!
