"voter's paradox A problem (not strictly a paradox) in assessing majority preference, published by Edward John Nanson (1850-1936) in Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society of Victoria, 1882, but anticipated by *Condorcet. Suppose three citizens A, B, C, vote to rank three policies x, y, z. The results are: A:x>y>z; B:y>z>x; C:z>x>y. Then two citizens (a majority) prefer x to y, and two citizens (a majority) prefer y to z, but a majority also prefers z to x. Each voter is consistent but the 'social choice' is inconsistent. This illustrates the difficulty of extracting a social choice from individual preferences. See also ARROW'S THEOREM. Arrow's theorem Sometimes (inappropriately) called Arrow's paradox. The most famous theorem in the logic of social choice or voting, proved by Stanford economist and 1972 Nobel prizewinner Kenneth Arrow, in his Social Choice and Individual Value of 1951. The theorem (properly entitled the general possibility theorem) shows the impossibility of a *social welfare function satisfying some very weak constraints. These in essence are: (i) it must work from any possible set of individual orderings of alternatives; (ii) it must satisfy the *Pareto principle, that if each person prefers x to y then society must prefer x to y; (iii) for any subset of the alternatives, only the individuals' preferences over the alternatives in the subset of alternatives are to count; and (iv) non-dictatorship: there must be no individual whose preferences alone dictate the preferences of the society, no matter what are the preferences of other individuals. The *voters' paradox is a simple example of the kind of inconsistency that arises. Subsequent work has often enlarged the basis on which a function might be constructed, for instance by taking account not only of preferences themselves, but of strength or propriety of preference. See also SEN." c/- Oxford Dictionary of Philosophy (Third Edition). There is much to ponder here. The implications of this US election will extend far and wide for many, many years. It has been suggested that if Trump wins, the markets will take a hit, but I think might do OK if you're invested in popcorn!

Quoting 'S_OnTheLoose' Quoting 'yankmychain56' that 'talking wig' is about the only hope left for the U.S. . Kilary should have been in prison years ago. You don't vote for someone because they are black or a woman, you vote for them because of their ability. Look up Trumps 'contract with america' for his first 100 days, and see if you can find fault. speaking as an american, he is FOR america, and won't let other countries screw us over financially like they have been. You know that some of those claims are simply meaningless, he can propose certain things till his hair falls off - but he can't make them all happen, in some cases he's asking Congress to limit itself, knowing that there aren't the votes in congress. He also proposes making something illegal which is already illegal... Declare China a currency manipulator? EVERY country manipulates currency, the US Fed is one of the biggest currency manipulators too. If you don't understand that then you have no business talking about economics. This is as silly as that Facebook video from the British parliamentarian spouting off about the evils of quantitative easing - because the lay person doesn't understand it. The Donald effectively says he will be going head to head with Amazon and Alibaba, define "unfairly impact American workers". As an American citizen, should the government prevent you from buying a bargain? Stopping money to climate change programs? The "revenue neutral" trillion dollar investment? it's through tax incentives, it's to the tune of a trillion dollars, it isn't revenue neutral. Look up Trump's contract with volunteers. you expect good contracts from a guy who tries to have his volunteers sign contracts preventing them EVER criticising a Trump product or person FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE? He made volunteers sign a contract requiring them to also prevent their employees from helping another candidate. How can employer legally prevent their staff from freely volunteering or criticising others? Definitely a supporter of the American notion of free speech. That contract has clauses trying to extend itself until Trump finishes a second term... effectively it lasts forever if he doesn't get in and finish two terms straight away. (The contract would be tossed out by any court that saw it) Why do you put so much stock in the contract from a fellow who has a history of simply declaring all his contracts null and void, leaving creditors in the lurch? (i.e. declaring bankruptcy?) Trump is good at pandering to populist claptrap - all he missed was something to appeal to the anti-vaxxers. It's publicity. The interesting upshot of Trump's way of forcing mexico to pay for the wall, is that The Nigerian Scammer, is likely to become The Genuine Mexican. Can't transfer money home to your Mexican family, pay a legal American to transfer to a third party outside the country and then transfer it on to your family. I feel slightly better now... slightly

Actually, Trump is pretty much an epic GENIUS. He didn't get to be a billionaire by being an idiot. now he can put an END to all the hate and division Obama stirred up. Don't know if you noticed, but Bernie sanders and Trump are on complete opposite ends of the political spectrum, but it showed that people are SICK of 'politics as usual' in Washington. There have been the same politicians in since before the internet was invented. Think about that. and they have done NOTHING but pander for votes and line their pockets. One thing Trump promised was term limits for EVERYONE in the government. No more dinosaurs in office for 30 years promising everything and doing nothing.

is often said/claimed/believed to be a Billionaire, he is not definitely publicly known to be one. His businesses are not publicly listed companies required to make timely declarations to the exchanges. He has not tabled his Taxation paperwork and he has not opened the account books of his businesses to scrutiny (He likely never would, and it is unlikely he could be compelled). How much of his apparent wealth do you suppose may be highly leveraged debt finance procured by his business entities? Many independent sources have offered evidence his business record is not actually nearly as illustrious as he would like everyone to believe. There is ample evidence of spectacular business failure... Where luxury items and status symbols are concerned, I have often heard it said that if you need to ask how much an item is, you likely can't afford it. To that end, I find it interesting to recall a report during the course of the election campaign which revealed the federal aviation registration for 'Trumpforce One' had lapsed by some months. The fee for renewal was reported to be less than US$80. Even if this were to be attributed to simple administrative oversight, it brings into question the administrative, corporate governance diligence, responsibility and accountability of his business organisation, huh? Does anyone know the prices and timeframes the Bookies are offering re: Trump impeachment and Pence's ascension to top billing? (We've likely not heard the last of or from the women alleged to have been sexually assaulted or harassed by Mr Trump are we?)

A check of the following article identifies the smaller jet aircraft (1997 Cessna 750 Citation X) registration and airworthiness certificates lapsed since January 2016. Renewal was quoted as US$5 for three years. Trump companies are said to have billed his campaign organisation some US$3 million for flying operations... "Donald Trump’s Jet, a Regular on the Campaign Trail, Isn’t Registered to Fly" By SUSANNE CRAIG, New York Times, APRIL 19, 2016 We all ought seek GENIUS business and finance structures to enrich our lives, huh? Whilst so many people and their governments are making calls to live within their/our means, the epic genii are doing in grand style using other peoples' money, or minimising their own tax liability via company structures, related party payments, offshoring and profit shifting. Don't they say, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander?"

If you do care about social, environmental, and ecological issues then I find it odd that you wouldn't be interested in politics at all, since politics is intrinsically tied up with and significantly influences those issues. Take Trump's position on climate change as a prime example. No, he won't have carte blanche to do exactly as he pleases but I think it's naive to believe that he won't have the capacity to do a lot of damage.

Quoting 'yankmychain56' While Bernie is a far left lunatic, there is something he and Trump share that struck a nerve in the U.S., we are SICK of politics as usual in Washington, left and right, and hilary is a part of that corrupt system. Anything that Trump does is FAR better than our current clown in chief, doing nothing. It doesn't follow that anything he does would be better, it simply shows that people go along with the "we want change, THAT is a change, therefore we must do THAT" irrespective of whether "THAT" is good or bad. Everyone at every election says "we're sick of corruption, and politicking being the business as usual" or "cutting red tape and stuffy bureaucracy"- in 1980 Jim Hacker was telling us about "Open Government" in the pilot episode of "Yes, Minister"... nothing changed. I'd suggest our last few elections in Australia have simply delivered results based on the back of "we need change, that is change, that is what we need". IMO definitely for Rudd, desire for any change, and TV spots catering to lowest common denominator, bingo bango you're in the Lodge. (I preferred Rudd to Howard, but in what world does a guy who is soooo incredibly NOT one of the people and not very likeable, end up with the hype that he did before election) Will Trump follow up on removing 2 laws for every 1 law introduced... possibly, but will it be a BIG removal, or will we see an introduction of some big thing... and then just hit up the CrimeADay twitter for something to get rid of - maybe 18 USC §1865 & 36 CFR §7.96(b)(3) which makes it a federal crime to harass a golfer in any national park in Washington, DC and as the second law, get rid of 21 USC §333 & 21 CFR §102.39 which makes it a crime to sell onion rings resembling normal onion rings, but made from diced onion, without saying so. I would've rather Bernie for pres, that was a shame.

I could write volumes on this but will keep it short. I know many australians don't understand the American political system, but at one time, Trump was a democrat. Just a few years ago, Hilary herself said he would make a good president. Oprah interviewed him once and asked if he would run for president, she loved his ideas so much. The media Salivated over Wiki-leaks and Anonymous digging up dirt on Bush, but were strangely silent about them dumping tens of thousands of emails and dirt on Obama and Hilary.WHY?Media Bias. You have been spoon fed exactly what they want you to hear. They lost their minds when REAL Americans showed up but the millions, so that even Hilary's Zombie vote couldn't save her. And she showed her appreciation to her minions by not even showing up and thanking them for their support. How typical of her. Left them hanging just like the troops who died in Benghazi. As far as minorities, the democrats have been using black americans as modern day slaves, with the ghetto being the modern day plantation. They have used them as vote farms for decades, keeping them poor, ignorant, and dependent on the system. Trump will change that by bringing work BACK to America. He went to the inner city in Flint Michigan (war zone), to give a speech. He said it used to be the best cars in the world came from Flint, and you couldn't drink the water in Mexico. Now, all the cars are built in Mexico, and you can't drink the water in flint. Literally, you can't even shower with it, the water is so toxic. That is from over 40 years of Democrat rule, and them lining their own pockets. As far as the plight of women to that evil Trump, some of the first women construction supervisors for major buildings that Trump built were women. The first in the country. He chartered out his jet for a kid that needed bad medical attention to get her to a hospital. Look up all the charitable things Trump has done out of the goodness of his heart. Climate change? regular cycle of the planet. the HYPE has more to do with globalism than actual environmental concerns. If anything, we have pushed it forward by 100 years. Trump will put forth a SENSIBLE alternate energy plan that won't end up with the country's infra-structure collapsing and causing a WORSE environmental mess. Knee jerk reactions won't work.Trump is NOT a bigot, racist, homophobe, etc. He wants equality for everyone, EQUA rights, not SPECIAL rights. It makes me sick to see fellow warriors come home, can't get medical care, end up homeless, and find that Obama is letting illegals and 'refugees' come in to the country, give them a free place to stay, free medical, welfare, etc, and our vets are committing suicide at the rate of over 20 per DAY because they can't get help. I could write volumes on this, but will close for now.

Bernie is a flat out socialist, and would have wrecked america. As far as Trump removing laws, it would be a good start to get rid of some of the flat out STUPID laws these turds made just to waste money and pass time away. We have far too many bureaucracies in America today.in 1912, we had roads, schools, hospitals, a decent basic infrastructure, an army and a navy, and NO Federal income tax. 100 years later, and we are collapsing under reams of paperwork and red tape. Obama took us from 8 TRILLION dollars in debt (try to wrap your head around that), and while 'winding down' two wars (looks like it is getting worse to me), and he managed to almost TRIPLE our debt to TWENTY TRILLION dollars, that is more than all our presidents in history COMBINED. with these numb-nuts in office now, it is like putting a twelve year old in a toy store with an unlimited credit card that you know you can't pay.and i really don't care it Trump slept with a transgender wookie thirty years ago, as long as he can fix the mess we are in. Sadly, he can only scratch the surface. It will take DECADES to get us out of the mess Obama put us in. He did fifty years of damage in only eight.

History has shown that it was naive to expect that even a decent president like Obama would be able to make any serious reforms to US gun laws..despite that he so desperately wanted too. Greater powers just wouldn't let him. I don't believe it would it so easy either, for an apparent ignoramus to unwittingly do any serious harm to a bureaucracy that's much bigger than him. Of course, the proof will be in the pudding. It seems many were wrong already about the direction the election would go. Just like Brexit.

Trumps status as a billionaire, over recent times there have been a number of articles published by CNN Money about his previous business ventures. Trump has been bankrupted a number of times, as his businesses simply weren't making money. He had casinos in a number of states, in which he couldn't turn a profit, and even his hotel business went bust. Any similar business at present that has his name on it isn't actually his - he sold the rights to his branded businesses to another party. The only thing that I'm aware of where he actually did manage to make some money was through property dealing. But as Ontology mentions above, most of his dealings would be done through leveraging, which begs the question, if you take out all of the debt from his operations, how much would he really be worth ? Probably still more than most of us, but not as much as he makes out. The only thing he has conclusively proven is that he is a good manipulator with his finances. Interesting to see how that will play out during his term. Tall

I understand a subset of the population feeling like they have been alienated by the 'establishment' and being desperate for someone who will listen to them and 'bring back the jobs' etc., who promises simple solutions to complex problems and tells them exactly what they want to hear. 'Make America great again!'....an even more effective slogan than the three word slogans so favoured by our own Aussie political leaders. It's very telling on so many levels that they are even willing to believe that a corrupt, tax-avoiding billionaire with a history of dodgy dealings and bankruptcy, and relying on offshore employment in his own businesses, is the person who can identify with them and bring back their jobs.

From what I've read less than half of the eligible population actually voted, and of those who did Clinton did win the popular vote. She received more votes overall than Trump did, albeit by a small margin. So I wouldn't say Trump won by a HUGE margin, at all, and I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. Not even bothering with the rest of what you've said, detailed response would be a waste of my time. I can appreciate the American population is frustrated. It ought properly be recognised the conditions today are a consequence of many, many decades of (arguably) poor administration, or even maladministration. This phenomenon is not peculiar to either the Democrat or Republican sides of politics. Nor is this phenomenon peculiar to America only. It seems plainly obvious to me that people all too frequently fail to correctly identify and address the root causes of the problems they encounter. (I include myself in that number). We are all very busy with matters directly and immediately impacting our own lives, and it's not easy to make the time to carefully and thoroughly work through complex, interrelated, and interdependent issues, and factor in all possible contingencies too. Most people live in hope they can simply rely on others to altruistically do all of that hard work for them and simply dispense all of the answers to their problems. To use a medical analogy: There is a strong tendency to identify and treat the symptoms of disease rather than the disease itself. People have perceived their leaders have found it more politically expedient to send people away with a bandaid and a couple of panadol tablets (and perhaps a Jelly Bean for being such a good boy by not interrupting while the grownups were talking), than to spend the time, effort and money to conduct a thorough diagnostic analysis and formulate a treatment plan. As is the case with medical conditions, left untreated (or not correctly treated) patient conditions frequently will deteriorate and may may become complicated as yet further adverse conditions develop (or are induced). This increases both the urgency and the difficulty of resolution (diagnosis and treatment). It seem many in the US perceive the patient is reaching critical status. What may have begun as a scratch on the knee has been festering under layer upon layer of dirty bandaids. Whilst all have heard "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", they've failed to notice how fat they've grown eating Jelly Beans. The patient's head has not been aching, and the sugar buzz feels good. Still upright(ish with crutches) and breathing, the patient also failed to notice his leg has turned green. For the purpose of the medical analogy, it seems to me the patient is now a bit groggy in the Pre-Op Anaesthetic Bay and has listened to the available and willing surgeons engaged in a screaming match as to just what in the f@ck they should do to save the patient's life (not just the patient's leg). How's your health insurance? Have you read the exclusions? Apparently you get what you pay for, and I think you can likely expect to pay for what you got.

we have had at least half a dozen blacks and women who ran for president. They didn't fit the democrat party line (far left), so they don't count.AGAIN, the media spoon-feeds people what they want to hear. Trump is a racistTrump is a sexistThe left had NOTHING on him, so they resorted to slander and name calling. We had Allen Keyes (black man) run for president about 20 years ago. Pretty much the only votes he got were by whites. MILLIONS of them. didn't get hardly any black votes.Herman Caine (black man), ran for president, again as a republican. He was a very successful billionaire (like donald Trump), and was CEO of the Godfathers pizza chain in the states. HE was a real threat to the left, can't have a really SMART black man running loose, so they dug up dirt on him and found out he had an affair with a white woman 20 years prior. He had to drop out and salvage his marriage because his wife didn't know.More recently we have had Ben Carson (black man and BRAIN SURGEON), running for president. Again the majority of support he got was from whites in america. Trump buried him along with the rest of the opposition. The plus side of that is there is talk that Ben Carson has already been offered a top slot to help rebuild our trashed health care system thanks to Obamacare. He turned it down, but said he is more than willing to offer help and advice. Ever heard of Sarah Palin? ran for vice president? Governor of Alaska. Biggest state in the union and thousands of miles of pristine untouched land. She got the environmental and oil lobbies to sit down and work TOGETHER to drill in Alaska. Right now, if you are a resident of Alaska, you get a $2000.00 a year check from the government of Alaska in royalties. Again, the left couldn't have an intelligent WOMAN on the right that they couldn't control, so they put their slime machine to work again, and attacked her family, accusing them all of being inbred rednecks (THAT is politically correct, don't know why, just as WRONG as the 'N' word, can't even SAY that). They even went as far as to attack her grandson who has down syndrome, the LOWEST of low, to the point where she had to resign to save her family. Regardless of what you hear from the media slime machine, the vast majority of americans only want someone who has a PLAN, and not some far left AGENDA. Hilary and Obama had AGENDAS. Trump has a PLAN that is for ALL Americans. Look up his 'contract with America'. looks like a good plan to me. The worst thing Trump can be accused of is being an obnoxious jerk, and with the eight years of the P.C. thought police beating americans over the head, i is a blessed relief. I would much rather have a rude, obnoxious jerk as president than a career criminal who has set half the planet on fire. Hilary should be in a dog kennel at Gitmo, not running for president.

as we will ourselves toward an automation that we resent it's not enough to to "what?" or "why?". To hijack Heidegger, essence lies in the search through "why the why?". If you was a woman I'd dialectic your hot dissemination anytime, enframe your dripping standing reserve, deconstruct both your phenomonology and phenomotheology :) If you was a woman I'd cunningly appease your admirable efforts to prove traditional masculine characteristics such as stoicism, determination, political skill, corruption, elitism and composure haven't in fact got much to do with maleness, and cheer your progressivism then get into the privacy of the voting booth and spite all those girls getting giddy with the possibility of what a woman no better or worse than any preceding candidate can represent even as the hollowed out figurehead of the crypto corporation of the minority elitist USA and vote with my loathesome soul for a pseudo heretic hysterical with the last thuggish thrust of performative maleness. ...I'm glad Trump won this if only because that very result STICKS IT to the loud voices, media, political, etc...that told everyone else, us foreigners included...that he wouldn't win this. That he didn't have a serious chance. That his running for the presidency was a joke, a waste of time at best. This kind of shake up is strangely reassuring that ridiculously wealthy powerbrokers' maybe don't control elections. Or maybe they did. Whatever the truth, and despite him being a pig of a man and a poor example for a number of causes, this result may stimulate some change for good in time. But I'd be surprised if he's re elected. The sceptic in me thinks he'll be a one trick pony, at best.

I have a lot of close friends from the American mid west ,it Is what a lot want ,shove him in the room ,if nothing more than to shake that room up and cause arguements, and change things ,to make people do things differently ,he doesn't play ball like most politicians ,so he is fact a game changer for better or worse time will tell ,imo, they are sick to death the way their country is headed and been headed for quite a while ,because of political correctness nothing gets said or done ,trump appeals to those people ,who want change for the future of their country .ive yet to have a friend say he is a good guy or his demeanour is good ,but he apparently he does have some good stuff for the working class man in his 100 list of policy's that are quite legit amongst the stupid rubbish - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Koolgrey'This kind of shake up is strangely reassuring that ridiculously wealthy powerbrokers' maybe don't control elections. Or maybe they did. I'm endlessly amused at this belief that Trump isn't part of the ridiculously wealthy elite 'establishment'. He may not be part of the political establishment but he's wealthy powerbroker capitalism-run-rampant personified. Yet so many seem to think he's some sort of symbol of the downtrodden classes sticking it to the man There's already been a significant escalation of verbal and physical abuse of minority groups in the U.S., including women, because Trump's victory has given a supposed green light to certain people to go out and actually start doing things like grabbing women by the crotch. People in some minority groups are afraid for their safety and even for their lives (and I wouldn't say those fears are at all unfounded). Just generally the levels of vitriol and animosity that I've seen in the discussions on social media among people in the U.S. is frightening, and I think we're going to be seeing a lot of civil unrest and potentially violence over there in the coming weeks and months. But yeah, the most important thing is that the loud voices, the media etc. got their comeuppance. Woohoo!

In Trumps acceptance speech that his language had already changed to a more conciliatory note, compared to his full fare or rhetoric during his campaign. I think it is going to be really interesting to see how he goes not only with his 100 day plan, but also with all his ideas he came up with for the course of his term. Already you could see that behind the scenes he has been told to tone it down. The party machine, just like here, seems to still reign supreme, in the background. I think Trump will find he will not get everything all his own way, as he has imagined he would. To a large extent, I believe he will be told what he will be allowed to do or not. As we have seen so often before, just because you became President, doesn't mean you can do what you want to. Even though both houses are controlled by the GOP, I see that will give the party more clout to tell the talking wig just how far he will be allowed off his leash. Tall

exactly. This is America's collective MIDDLE FINGER to Establishment politics in Washington. It is OVER for them, left AND right. What really humors me right now is seeing these whining twits taking to the streets, rioting, and being violent psychopaths, the VERY people that us evil Trump supporters were supposed to be. We put up with two terms of someone we LOATHE, and not ONE violent protest. There might have been a few people who shot their TV set, but that was it. They say that Trump and all his supporters are Hateful, racist, fear mongering assholes. Trump gets elected, and they respond by being hateful, racist, fear mongering assholes.Trump already achieved part of his goal and he isn't in office yet. Muslims say they are leaving the country. make sure you take your Sharia law with you.Thousands of americans (I don't want to call them that) say they are leaving for Canada. There is a Canadian militia group ready to SHOOT any 'illegal american' that comes across their border. They said they won't kill them (Canadians are polite that way, their military even writes 'sorry' on their bullets), just shoot them in the leg and leave them to the wolves, mountain lions and bears. They said it is better to be ALIVE in the U.S., than DEAD in Canada. give that ma a medal. The worst thing Trump can be accused of is being an obnoxious jerk. He talks like a construction worker. big deal. He didn't say anything that isn't heard at construction sites everywhere on the planet anytime an attractive woman walks by. probably worse things are said.It isn't the end of the world, people, don't give in to leftist fear mongering.

Actually, i don't think there will be any Trump sex scandals in the white house because he respects the office too much. Bill Clinton was not president, Hilary was. Bill was just there for the cocaine and whores. And I don't know if anyone has noticed, he has one of the most beautiful women on the planet, from an eastern block country, who speaks five languages fluently, so she isn't dumb. If there were any news of any kind of scandal, it would be pictures of her wearing his nuts as earrings. She has his nuts in a jar beside her bed. Any time you see him doing something stupid now, you will see a little scowl on her face, see a little tug on his trousers, the blood draining from his face, and him changing his tune.

The leaders, the media, the armchair analysts, etc. And the ones who, by virtue of experience, should know what is for the best. Why that pleased me is because it has set a precedent. For the future and looking to the past. Despite what they tell us is right and for the good of the people, the experts, the leaders, may be wrong in their promises and predictions for the future...and they may have been wrong in the past. Now, that has been thrown out there. As the optimist that I am, I think that offers hope...and i hope that it stimulates thought.

basically, if the president has something he wants done, and congress doesn't go with it, he can do an 'end run' around them by signing an 'executive order'. It SHOULD be used as a last resort, but if there is a deadlock in congress, the president can sign one.One really good example was when president Lincoln (republican) signed the emancipation proclamation to free the slaves. He had to do an end run around congress (mostly democrat) who refused to budge on the issue. Sometimes it is good, sometimes not so good, and a new president can rescind the executive orders of his predecessor. Recently, President Bush jr. signed almost 300 executive orders, and Obama signed about 250.A few presidents signed over a thousand because it must have been a BAD deadlock somewhere.I can't for the life of me figure out how Trump is going to bring an end to the world, that was well on the way LONG before he showed up. The media has trashed him SO MUCH it is pathetic. Yes I watch Fox news, and they would grill him pretty hard, but he took the beating and answered HARD questions. Hilary wouldn't even show up for an interview. I watch the news here and sometimes it makes me gag. You get a five minute blurb on how Obama saved the planet (when he is actually destroying it) or praise upon hilary (career criminal), but if Trump puts his foot in his mouth (he was good at that at first), they run with it and call him a homophobic, sexist, Islamaphobic racist, which he is none of these, he is just a member of the human race like the rest of us. Right now, there are nuts all over the country doing VIOLENT protests and rioting, when THEY were the ones screaming for 'change'. nothing has changed, they are still rioting.,looting, and burning. A good thing (for america) recently was the stock market went through the roof, which is a good thing. Look up his 'contract with America'. there is probably American specific stuff that is clear as mud, and many programs will help rebuild the U.S. , but the only countries that will suffer any negative effects will be the ones who have screwed us financially over the years. He is going to screw them back. And if any companies try to take their business overseas, he is going to tax them so bad that it won't be worth it. He is going to play hardball, but with money, not tanks.

It seems that Clintons people got it quite wrong as to what the voting majority wanted from their new leader...else they would have tried to sell a far more attractive package. This result is not necessarily a bad thing at all. When governments always get what they want from their citizens they can squeeze those citizens tighter and act with more impunity, exert more control. Governments don't serve the people. They serve those who have invested in them. Historically, I think it's in the nature of "situations" like this to get worse before they get better too. Which can be a good thing. A major shift in the "way of thinking" of a people comes after they have been through adversity. I cant think of the words to express what i mean clearly.. I saw this short tv news article today of crying and distraught college or high school students feeling sorry for themselves over the election result! And the schools were even offering them "counselling" and time off from school to get over it. Even the US news anchors were taking the piss out of this!

Thank You! For bringing up a very important day for Australians yesterday. My great grandfather was killed in Pozieres in WW1 and my father suffers with PTSD after serving as a Forward Scout in Vietnam. Alan Price, a former sectional commander in the Royal Australian Regiment (4IRARINZ) states "The forward scout is the only member of a unit who has no protection or covering fire in front of him or to the side. He is normally the one that the baddies shoot at first. He has the task of attempting to keep alive the of his mates behind them, to get them from point A to point B, to sight the enemy first and to kill him; and "At the same time that he is doing this, an equally smart and just as professional forward scout on the other side is attempting to find him. It took an exceptional soldier to be a forward scout in Vietnam." I always knew my dad was different from my friends' fathers growing up. My grandmother always spoke about losing her son after the war. He spoke very little about serving and strongly affected anytime it was mentioned around him. It wasn't until I was an adult that he was diagnosed and started receiving treatment. He will always be affected by what happened over there but can now talk about it with myself and others. He's become a more patient and open man and I'm thankful that as time goes on I get to experience more of him. More service men and women take their own lives than we lose in combat these days. I worked for The Department Of Veterans' Affairs for 9 years before leaving to have our daughter. My last role as the State Public Relations and Commemorations Manager for Qld was the most rewarding. Honouring those who have fallen, honouring those who have served and are still with us and working towards keeping the memory alive of all servicemen and women. We tend to be a bit conditioned to war and violence with television, movies and the media. But nothing can prepare those men for what they are exposed to representing our country - in both war and peacekeeping efforts. Lest We Forget xx

Yesterday was also Veterans day in the states. I was stationed in Germany and also worked with the Cav Scouts (19D). Part of our mission was to operate behind enemy lines, because we expected to be over run by the Russians within the first day they came across. There was no stopping them, just lay low, let them pass, and tear up their soft underbelly (supply and maintenance). Also during Desert Storm, we spearheaded VII corps in to Iraq, again far behind enemy lines. My Uncle died in the Saint Lo. area in WWII, my dad fought in the Philippines (BRUTAL warfare). If you see a dysfunctional combat vet here is Aussie-land, don't judge him if he is nuts, try to help him, as he has seen things he will have nightmare about for decades, all because he loved his country.

I haven't done the cash back claim for a very long time. So, I did that today and could only claim for whatever amount I used between last November and the current one (a lot of money gone down the "drain" after RMS changed their cash back claim policy). But that's ok as I knew they have changed their policy two years ago. Hence, my comment here is not about what I could claim 😛 but to praise the new M5 cash back claim system! It is so easy and direct. I didn't even need to log into RMS website to make the claim, it was all automatically done via logging into my toll account with Roam. Saved me a trip to Office Works to print out the claim form, and the time taken to posting the form to RMS, etc. great upgrade to the system I must say and I love it! 👍🏼😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

Cheers" All I can do is ignore and 😂😂😂😂😂 but I do respect others people's dipshittery and desperation 😜 And nope, I am not going to hide my profile as it is my right to be here and use RHP how I wanted to 😜 though I do wish I could leave the "Seeking" and "For" rows blank, so nobody thinks that I am still seeking company. - Posted from rhpmobile
