I like it when a woman makes the first move. I am painfully shy and find it very hard to break the ice. I wish i wasnt. I am okay once the ice is broken but that first initial step is really hard, I know it sounds daft but it is fear of rejection. even when a woman does make the first move I always question whether they are taking the piss.

Chasingmidnight, that is hard one because I think that there are times were I am subtle and demure, although that is more to do with shyness in a particular situation or with a particular person. I do think that others perceive me as demure and dare I say ladylike, although I don't think I would describe my natural self that way. xxMeeka

Can be extremely charming, but if you're too demure you run the risk of having your charms fly right over the guy's head. A lot of guys miss the small signals women send our way - not out of total ignorance, but because sometimes we need to be hit over the head with things before we react. Men aren't always the subtlest of creatures, so striking a balance between subtlety and the bleeding obvious may be your best chance.

It's such a fine line these days between making the right move, coming across sleazy or moving too slow. I think guy's are harder to offend than girls, so things would probably run smoother if sometimes the girl made the move

As has been stated already in above posts I too find a forward, confident woman a turn-on. I'm likely to fumble and get tongue tied trying to respond though (king of coulda, woulda, shoulda comebacks 5 minutes too late) as it is unexpected and uncommon for me. It is what you make of it. . As for can a woman be too forward? I was going to start a new topic and ask if there was an unwitten rule about men making the first move, but this topic has been covered here. I was under the impression that not too many women would make the first move as I think women don't view men's profiles as many times as men view women's profiles. Having said that, I wouldn't complain if a woman made the first move, however I wouldn't expect her to put out if she didn't want to, mutual respect is what it is all about.
